Doggie Vacays At My House Or Yours!

Pet care experience

Going on vacation? Work all day? Have a last minute commitment? Forget overpriced scary kennels! Have your fur babies stay at my house instead! This will be their home away from home. Whether your fur baby stays with me for a day, a week or longer, you can be confident I will give your dog the best care and love him or her like my own. If you prefer for me to watch your fur babies at your house that is another option I would be more than happy to do! For instance if you have cats or other pets that need sitting at your house or if your dog feels more comfortable in his or her own home I’ll be there! If your fur baby will be staying at my house he or she must like or at least tolerate cats since I have one adult rescue. Don't worry my cat, Luca loves dogs. As long as he isn’t being chased or barked at. Otherwise he will get very scared and stressed out and go hide. Luca is also declawed. I do charge discounts for multiple dogs! Hello! My name is Lisa. I am 41 years old and a Nuclear Medicine PET/CT Technologist. Currently I am not working so I'm home all day and night. Which means your fur baby will never be left alone. Being in a new environment is stressful and scary enough but being in a new environment all alone is even worse. My mom & twin sister who also love animals dearly live with me so your fur baby will have two more people caring for & loving him or her. There are no kids at my house. Just the three of us, our one cat & two finches. My cat’s name is Luca & he is 17 years old. My finches names are Charlee & Marlee. They all were rescued! Recently my son, Buddy (Beagle), passed away. He was around 15 years old. I'm not sure of his exact age because he was a rescue. I posted pictures of him on my profile so you can see how handsome he was. Buddy was my world. I miss him every second of every day. Not a day goes by that I don't think of him. We were inseparable. When he passed away I was and still am heartbroken. I've never felt as much pain before except when my dad passed away. I know my dad is taking care of Buddy now and I will see them both one day which helps me with the grief. Eventually when I’m ready I want to rescue another dog or dogs but until then I thought that dog sitting would be perfect for me. I've adored animals since I was born. I love them better than people. I love ALL animals! There is no better feeling in the world than caring for and bonding with an animal. I belong and donate to multiple animal charities. I also volunteer at animal adoption & fund raising events. I come from a family of animal lovers. My cousin Ginny has a rescue called Rescue Dogs Rock which is a foster based rescue located in Gloucester County, NJ specializing in rescuing and finding loving, responsible forever families for homeless companion animals, focusing primarily on dogs and puppies of all ages and breeds. Lisa was wonderful! Our dogs, who are normally shy, felt comfortable with her and her home immediately. She was very attentive to our strict medication for our special needs dog and even took them out for a pup cup. Thank you Lisa!

Lisa came and took care of our boys who are very skittish. She got them out and eating which I was happy about. I also received pictures of the visit to see how they were doing.

Lisa was absolutely great! Her love of animals was apparent at the meet and greet. She stayed with our senior Beagle who is deaf and can be a little pesty with barking. She took good care of him and he was so relaxed when we got home. We were able to enjoy our time away without worry. She sent pictures and had great communication at all times. I will definitely be booking future stays. Thank you. Lisa

YOUR FUR BABY MUST LIKE OR AT LEAST TOLERATE CATS! I have one adult rescue. Don't worry Luca loves dogs. As long as he isn’t being chased or barked at. Otherwise he will get very scared and stressed out and go hide. I can also put up a baby gate to separate them if need be. During the Meet & Greet we can go over everything I'll need to know to make your fur baby’s stay at my house or their house as comfortable and stress-free as possible. If I will be staying at your house we can do a meet & greet there or if your fur baby will be staying at my house we can do the meet & greet at my house. Some of the things I'll need to know is their usual routine during the day and at night and any special needs or health issues that they may have. If your fur baby requires oral medication or injections I can administer it. We can also go over any questions that you may have for me. SKILLS: ✔️ Pet First Aid/CPR certified ✔️ Oral medication administration ✔️ Injected medication administration ✔️Subcutaneous IV fluid administration ✔️Puppy & Senior dog experience ✔️Special needs dog experience ✔️Can provide daily exercise & multiple potty breaks It would be really helpful if you could fill out your dog’s care instructions, Vet information & all important phone numbers on the itinerary on Rover.com or write it down and bring it with you when you drop your dog off for his/her stay so I can provide your dog with the best care. You can also email it to me if you prefer. Same thing for your dog/cat or cats if I’m watching them at your house. For example some of the things for you to write down would be your dog’s age, weight, breed, microchip # if applicable, your dog's eating schedule, walking & excercise schedule, sleeping schedule, any special needs, health issues & food, medication or environmental allergies, a list of all medications currently being taken with dosage & time schedule, your address & home/cell number, all emergency contacts, Vet address & Vet phone number, etc. DOG SITTING CHECKLIST: (I found this really helpful checklist online) Here's what to include: * A pet care safety plan that lists emergency contacts, such as your veterinarian and local police, as well as a history of health concerns for your pet. * A list of your pet's medications. * Your pet's immunization history. * Your pet's microchip information. * Pet insurance card. * Local government registration number. * A clear photo of your pet. Here are some things to mention: * Your dog's daily routines. * How and when to administer each of your pet's medications. * Your pet's daily food intake, including dry food, wet food and treats and where you keep them (if dog sitting at your house). * Your dog's favorite games and toys and where you keep them (if dog sitting at your house). * Your dog's personality -- does she get along with other animals and people? Does she have any anxieties (such as the mailman or motorcycles driving by)? * Your favorite walking spots and dog parks. Stock Up on Supplies: You should also make sure you have enough pet supplies to last your four-legged friend the entire length of your trip (and a little longer in case you get held up): * Food (dry food, wet food and treats) and bowls. * Medications, including when and how much to give. * Toys. * Harnesses and leashes. * ID tags. * Grooming supplies, such as shampoo, brushes, toothbrushes and toothpaste. * Cleaning supplies, such as paper towels and an enzymatic cleanser. * Pet carrier, if applicable. Prepare Your Dog and Your Home (if dog sitting at your house) Your last step should be to prepare your home for your departure, take care of any safety hazards and spend some one-on-one time with your pooch to get him ready for a few days without you: * Shut off any areas of the house where you don't want your dog to go. * Make sure all cleaning products, insect and weed killers, rat poison and medicines are out of your dog's reach. * Repair any holes in your fence and secure all gates. * Introduce your sitter to your pet and make sure they get along. * Give him plenty of affection and reassurance before you leave.

A typical day

My mission is to provide your fur baby or fur babies with a fun, exciting & safe vacay! They will be pampered & loved with all the attention on them! They definitely wouldn't get that type of personal attention at a boarding facility but at my home or yours they will be the center of attention! Your special family member deserves the best & only the best! Things we can do during the day if allowed are trips to the dog park, trips to Batsto to hike the trails, trips to the beach, trips to pet stores or any stores that allow dogs. I purchased PetSafe travel beds for the car rides! Your fur baby can pick out a toy or a treat at the pet store to bring home with him or her! We can go for walks around my neighborhood. I will always provide bottled spring water during walks & day trips. Even at my house your fur baby will always get filtered water. I NEVER give tap water. At night we can snuggle together on the couch & watch TV. I can also give your fur baby a relaxing doggie massage if he/she likes them! When it's time for bed your fur baby can sleep in bed with me if allowed or wherever they feel the most comfortable. Things you can bring for their stay at my house to make them feel more at home are their favorite toys & treats, their blanket & bed, their crate, coats & sweaters for when it’s cold, etc. I have all natural organic dog treats available in my home to give to your fur baby if they are allowed to have them. If you happen to forget anything, don’t worry! I have an extra large comfy dog bed, awesome wide carpet covered dog stairs that I purchased on Amazon if they need help getting up & down on beds or couches, extra dog bowls & lots of dog toys that they can play with! I will go above & beyond to make sure your fur baby has a happy healthy positive experience while you are away. I will never leave him/her alone at any time. If there are any special needs or quirks your dog has just let me know & I will do my best to provide him/her with whatever they need or wish for. Look out for lots of pictures & videos during your fur baby's stay with me! I love sending them so you can see how much they are being loved & cared for & how much fun they are having! You can also call me or text me any time day or night. I'm always available if you have any questions or concerns or if you just want to check in! ✔️ In case of an emergency we do have a Pet Check Urgent Care 8 minutes from my house.
