I've loved and lived with dogs all of my life. I have owned or lived with roommates who have owned peke-a-poos (pekignese and poodle mixes), miniature schnauzers, bichon frises, golden retrievers, huskies, and rottweilers.

My current dog is Hunter--an 11-year old, 10lb peke-a-poo that is pretty darn amazing. Hunter and I go for walks four times a day and frequently go to the dog park for fetch--he could play that for HOURS. I love being active and look forward to also taking your dog on long walks (not on the beach, though).

I have cared for dogs of all ages and types. I've raised multiple dogs from when they were puppies. I have also taken care of my sister's dog while he was recovering from back surgery and my mom's geriatric dogs when they needed some extra TLC. In addition to the breeds I mentioned having lived with, I have also sat for a large number of different dog breeds--often in exchange for their families watching my dog when I was out of town.

I'm currently transitioning careers and am doing Rover to get a little extra money while applying for a full-time position. I am looking forward to the dog walking/dog care breaking up my day a bit as well as giving me additional excuses to get outside every day.

I have a PhD in Social Psychology and have nannied for a family with a toddler and preschooler in the past. Although that information is not directly relevant to my dog-care skills, I know that I pull on my knowledge and experience in those areas when interacting with my four-legged friends.
