As a lifelong animal lover I have an innate desire to see all the animals happy! I have collectively five years experience as a dog-walker and sitter and many years as a dog-owner. It's important to me as a sitter/walker to act as a safe-person, trustworthy companion, and playmate for the dogs in all situations. I'm aware of my surroundings and intuitive, always paying attention to what I can do to make a dog happier. Depending on your pet and routine, I can adapt to any routine that you may have in place or mix it up if preferred. Typically I like to create rapport with the animal by petting, greeting and playing with him/her. Then I check their food and water, and refill if requested. Then off we go on our walk! I like to set up various routes, and stick with them as it helps the dog predict what is coming up next without getting bored. I feel socializing them is appropriate if the dog is up for it. Lastly, I like to interact with the dog during the walk to reassure them and build our relationship further.
