Pet care experience
Hi! I'm Lisa, so nice to e-meet you. I am a nurse by trade but always felt something with animals was my true calling. I volunteer at a local wildlife centre and have two dogs of my own. Onyx is a 15.5 year old black lab and Nukka is a 9 month old Newfie, who loves to make new friends. Onyx is fixed and Nukka will be as soon as she's old enough around 2 years old. We previously had a spaniel, mastiff (dogo) and an English bulldog so I have experience with different sizes, diets, behaviours, ages and breeds. Due to owning dogs that have/had medical needs I am familiar and comfortable with giving medications (injection, oral, topical and puffers). I'm the one all my friends and family come to when they need advice, tips, help or support with their pet. I have voluntarily taken and completed an online course in canine communication. I live in a 3 bedroom townhouse with my husband. We have a small fenced in backyard, but there is lots of greenspace around so there is no shortage of exercise or adventure. My two dogs have free range of the house and are allowed on the furniture and on my bed, but neither of my dogs come upstairs anymore due to age and the kitchen tile being cooler to lay on. Your pet will part of our family while you are away and will get to enjoy everything my dogs do. I have a large crate in my living room if that is something you or your fur baby prefer/require. Any other questions I'm more than happy to answer and I can't wait to meet your fur baby. I work Tuesday- Thursday 8am-4pm, Fridays 8am-3pm and off Sat-Mon. My husband is a resident manager for the property we live at, he works 8am-4:30pm Monday to Friday but works on the property and is within the area all day. I'm an animal loving home body, so if I'm not working I'm normally home with our pups, unless I can bring them with me. I have a small fenced yard and two friendly dogs to keep your dog company. I can easily crate your dog if that is something that is preferred/needed. I am comfortable with medications and other needs your fur baby may have.

Lisa and Chris are fantastic, Luna lives hanging out with Nukka and Onyx. Lisa and Chris gives great photo updates and treat Luna just like one of their family, and Luna sees there place like a second home. And is looking forward to the next visit

I have a small fenced in backyard. My dogs have free range of our home and are allowed on all the furniture (it's called "fur-niture" after all) I do have a large crate on hand if this is something your pet requires or if you prefer. I also have baby gates to block off any areas if needed.

A typical day
There is green space around my place with all sorts of fun smells and things to explore. They will get to enjoy the adventures with their new friends (my two dogs). My dogs eat breakfast around 8am and then get their morning walk followed by their morning snack. We keep the back door open (weather permitting) so they can come in and out of the yard as they please. We also have a small pool for the dogs in the summer. They eat dinner around 5pm and then get their afternoon walk. They go for a small walk around the house around 9:30-10pm before settling for the night. They also get a evening snack at 8pm.

Availability
I work approx. 32 hours/week, and am home most Mondays, evenings and weekends. I only open my schedule to board when I will be home the whole time so I can make sure your pet has the best time possible.
