Pet care experience
I am very responsible, neat, and organized. I have several years of experience caring for my own dogs and pet sitting a variety of creatures. I love dogs of all sizes, breeds, and ages, but I do have a soft spot for senior dogs. I have adopted five senior dogs to date, and have relished giving each of them an amazing "retirement" in their golden years. I have experience caring for lots of different types and temperaments of dogs, cats, birds, and a pair of guinea pigs. I live in Ballard/Fremont/Phinney with my partner and two small elderly dogs. I've become an avid gardener since we bought our house in 2018, so I'd be happy to water plants as part of my house sitting services, or even do some additional yard work for you for some additional compensation. :) I am primarily interested in providing house sitting/pet care at the client's home since my partner and I work from home, so adding more critters to our home would be a bit hectic! Depending on the proximity to my home, I could do drop-ins or overnight stays at your home. Feel free to inquire, and we'll see what makes sense! Experience administering medication: I have experience giving dogs oral and topical medication. I can sure try to give cats medication, but nobody can make a cat do anything it doesn't consent to. :)

Lisa was awesome!! She saved the day when I had TWO sitters cancel on me. She took great care of the dogs and the house, Luna and Nora were well cared for and happy when I got home. The house was tidy and she watered the vegetable garden as well. I will definitely have her watch Luna and Nora again!
Lisa took great care of our pup during this year's Thanksgiving travel. She sent photos of walks they took and and texted that he was having a good time. She has the cutest senior dog that our dog loves. Would definitely recommend Lisa!
Lisa did a great job taking care of our dogs for a full week. She bonded with them quickly and adapted her schedule to their requirements. All feeding a care instructions we provided were followed to the letter. She answered texts in a timely manner and sent pictures when requested. She is highly recommended for short or long term care.
Lisa is the first dog sitter I have used through Rover, and I was very happy with her care of my dog, Oliver. It was easy to organize drop-off and pick-up with Lisa, and she provided several updates about Oliver while I was out of town.

I like to know the regular routine for the dog, any sources of temptation for misbehavior I should avoid (food on the counter, etc.), and what tricks/treats/activities the dog gets excited about. I also like to know whether your dog would enjoy activities such as going to a dog park, or hanging out at Norm's in Fremont. I like to know whether there are particular things that upset or scare your dog. (i.e., my dog is scared of "beeping" noises. Why? We don't know. But we try to accommodate his irrational fear by minimizing beeping around him!)
A typical day
My dogs are obsessed with puzzles, so I'd be happy to encourage some puzzling. My dogs also demand two walks a day (at least!) so I'm up for lots of walks!

Availability
I'm a self-employed artist (custom pet portraits!) so I have a very flexible schedule, so I can work from my home or yours! I have a little dog (Skittles) that is very attached for me, so if I'm watching a dog at your home for an extended period, ideally, it would be okay if Skittles could come with me occasionally. She's very submissive and fully housetrained, but she needs to keep her little eyes on her favorite human (me!).
