Pet care experience

My dog, Draco, was a beloved family member for 14 years, so I understand how hard it can be to make the decision to leave your family dog in a kennel, or even just in someone else's care. That's why we offer you our "Just Like Home" promise. "Just Like Home" Promise: Your dog(s) will be the center of attention! We encourage you to share all the details of your dog's daily routine and we will follow very closely. We only work with one family at a time (and we don't have four legged family member of our own). Your dog will truly be the center of our care, love, and attention! We promise to care your dog(s) as if they were our own! Since the passing of our dog we've been fostering dogs for AWA, and then more recently we started dog sitting here on Rover because we love dogs and we miss having our own. Since I'm home full time, I'll be here to dote on your doggy. My high school age daughters and husband are also home full time so your doggy will get TONS of love and attention! I can provide a morning long walk (2.5 miles), along with medium (1 mile) walks and/or short walks throughout the day/evening. Additional play time and cuddle time is always offered. You just need to tells us what your dog likes and prefers! I can provide leashes, dog dishes, toys, some treats, and 1 medium size crate. You should provide their brand of food (small changes in diet, even with in the same brand, can cause digestive issues). You should let us know your dogs typical schedule (food, potty breaks, and exercise). (Please be as detailed as possible--eg. Spot usually poops once a day in the morning.) Also it's great if you provide a comfort from home for your dog's stay, weather it’s a favorite toy, dog bed or blanket, this can help ease first night jitters. If you are crate training, you might want to bring that along too. Bringing treats and poop bags is appreciated, but not required. Some owners also like to provide vet information in case of emergency. Bathing, brushing, or giving medications can be available for a small "extras" fee. Finally, if you dog has any issues (current medical conditions, separation anxiety, not fully house trained, biting, aggressive, etc.) at all, it's best to let me know so we can keep your dog safe, comfortable, and happy. Update: Although we have experience with puppies, senior dogs, dogs needing daily meds, and dogs with separation anxiety, we are currently only sitting dogs that are fully house trained and do not suffer from separation anxiety. Scheduling: Please enter the exact time you plan to pick up and drop-off so we can be accurate. If you are not sure yet, that's OK, but please be aware that we (like most dog sitters) schedule on a 24 hour basis. This means if you drop off at 5pm, then pick up would be 5pm or earlier. If you need extra time, we understand. While we offer a flexible grace period late arrival over 45 minutes would incur an additional "walk" fee of $20 per dog (4-7 hrs = $25 per dog | 7+ hours = day boarding rate). We specialize in taking care of dogs that are not used to being cared for anywhere other than home. We have lots of love to share and promise to take care your four legged family member as if they were our own! Promise! P.S. It really helps if you have comprehensively completed your profile. It makes any decision much faster for both of us. We'll get back to you quickly.

Lilly and Zina for sure had a good time with Lisa and her family - the whole family is involved in taking care of the dogs. Getting regular updates, I felt totally assured that the dogs were very well taken care off and getting a lot of care, attention and love! Thank you!

Lisa and her family were the best. It was the first time Baxter stayed with anyone, they went out of their way to keep us informed on how he was doing... Baxter has separation anxiety and Lisa was a jem..... So happy we picked the perfect family for Baxter and us...❤?

This was our first time Foxie has ever stayed with anyone, aside from family. We were a little apprehensive but we didn’t need to be! She was so well-loved and taken care of! We received many videos and pictures throughout her stay. We will definitely use Lisa in the future for our pup!

Lisa did a phenomenal job taking care of our two yorkie poodles. She's really great with dogs and we had 100% confidence that they were in good hands when we dropped them off. Our dogs have separation anxiety but they were like puddy in her hands and had no problems at all warming up to her! She sent us regular updates with pictures all throughout the 4 days that we left them with her. She's a sweet sweet lady and very caring. We will be coming to her again in the future!

What does your dog enjoy and need? We ask so his/her stay can be as familiar, relaxing, and safe as possible.

A typical day

I have toys for puppies all the way to seniors! Fetch, rope play, house training, obedience training, I've done it all. (If you want to start or continue training --just ask.) I take a daily long walk as well as shorter walks around our quiet neighborhood. Of course we also can play fetch or just hang out in the yard or on the couch. Your dog will get plenty of love and attention. If your dog is boarding please have their nails clipped and flea and tick prevention prior to coming. Thanks!
