I'm an urban pet whisperer

Pet care experience

I am a New Yorker, born and bred. I've had pets my whole life, and have taken care of everything from toy poodles to tabby cats to a pair of sugar gliders. I have had a special needs cat that required insulin shots and IV fluids and oral medication, so I'm quite familiar with taking care of a pet that might need special attention. I don't shy away from the level of care that will be needed. I have sat for 3 Labradors in NYC: walked, cared, fed them (a breakfast much more involved than the one I make for myself). I have sat for dogs, cats, frogs, snakes, bunnies, sugar gliders, and a bearded dragon all for one household, and all at the same time. Certainly a family with that much love for animals wouldn't let just anyone take care of their pets. In fact, they could only take a vacation because they found someone who could handle all their beloved pets.

After our recent first booking with Lisa, I can say enthusiastically that Lisa is The Best, and that we will definitely ask her again to keep our picky little buddy! I fully recommend her.

Lisa was amazing! She took very good care of my cat during her visits while I was out of town. She took the time to get to know my kitty, play with her when she was ready, and give her all the attention she needed. Highly recommend!

Lisa has been a wonderful walker to my very quirky and sensitive senior dog. She’s been so patient and very communicative, I definitely recommend!

Lisa was a fantastic drop-in sitter for my two cats, Addie & Lucy! She was very thoughtful and thorough in terms of learning about both cats, their quirks, and care needs before my trip. Lisa was always very kind, thoughtful, and communicative -- I really appreciated her daily visit updates and the many excellent photos she took of the two cats while I was traveling! It was great to come home to two happy cats and a tidy apartment (clean litterbox, no messes, etc.) thanks to Lisa. I'm so glad to have found Lisa and will definitely hire her again next time!

Information Lisa l. would like to know about your pet

It's helpful to know your pet's eating habits, because in a new environment it might take them a moment to adjust. Or if a new person is watching they might get self-conscious. Some pets are most comfortable eating with a human. Happy to plan our meals together.

A typical day

Fetch is the #1 sport in the house! I’m not so far from the UN and the East River. That's a fun walk. There is also a little park 2 blocks from my house.
