Pet care experience
Hello! I have over 47 years of caring for dogs, cats, horses and birds, and currently do not have a pet of my own - so I would love to care for yours! My experience includes greyhound and horse rescue, and covers a wide variety of age ranges. There is a special place in my heart for Seniors. I've been owned by many dogs, a few cats, one horse, a few chickens, and various types of birds, frogs, fish and turtles. Canids are my favorite, but I love them all.

Another stellar stay with Lisa! Leaving the country when you have an old dog and an old house that demands some attention can be cause for anxiety, but Lisa is such a pro--and so completely generous and attentive--that we traveled worry-free. What a gift! To say Lisa goes the extra mile is an understatement. I would trust her to take care of any dog, home, person--she gives her all!

I like to have a good feel for the needs of your loved ones as well as your expectations before caring for them to ensure that I am the right sitter for your family.

I love to walk and play with your pets - at your home or at their favorite park, or in your neighborhood. Keeping them exercised and happy is important when you are away.

Availability
This is a labor of love for me, not a full-time job or side hustle (not that there's anything wrong with doing Rover full-time or as a side hustle!) I mention this only because my availability can be somewhat limited at times. My fees are typically higher than average. This reflects my experience as well as my ability to dedicate myself to your important family members exclusively during your booking. This also helps cover the Rover fee sitters incur as well as professional accounting fees and taxes, so I can spend time enjoying your family members vs. many hours not enjoying quickbooks and turbotax. Please note that last minute requests (within 2 weeks) are reserved for established clients; this allows me to provide the best possible care, while preserving life balance and my passion for animals. I get my happy place; you get peace of mind that your loved ones are well cared for in your absence.
