Attentive Care For Furry Friends
Pet care experience
Lisa taught children in private elementary schools for over ten years in Philadelphia. She appreciates that pets are much like children, as they are important family members, deserving as much love, attention, individualized care and praise as any child. She has been a pet-mom to multiple classroom rabbits, guinea pigs, one turtle, two parakeets, several neighborhood squirrels and two canines. Harry, her standard size Golden Doodle is a Service Dog in Training. Harry is active, social and gentle. He enjoys other dogs, especially those who want to play fetch. Lisa works from a home office most of the day (80%) and rarely leaves home without her sketchbook, colored pens and doggie treats. She enjoys long walks with Harry and other furry friends. Lisa is an intuitive, informed and responsible pet caretaker, as well as being Pet First Aid Certified. Lisa worked for a private dog walking company in the Philadelphia area for several months in addition to offering her services on Rover. Lisa has worked with rescue dogs and is experienced in caring for dogs who have special characteristics such as being shy/anxious or aggressive around other dogs.

What can I say? Lisa is the best!! Not just reliable and trustworthy, she became Duke’s BFF. You can tell instantly that she loves dogs and has a gift for taking care of them. Thanks so much.
Another great experience with Lisa! Our pup loves spending time with her, and we had peace of mind while she watched him.
Our two pups were well taken care of and we got lots of fun messages and pics. Thanks again Lisa!
Always the best!!! Ellie loves her stays

Information Lisa K. would like to know about your pet
Scheduling a Meet and Greet for first time clients is essential to meeting your dog's emotional, social and physical well being. The more I know about your furry friend, the happier s/he will be in my care. For example, I would like to know what familiar commands your dog knows, what behaviors you are interested in reinforcing or redirecting, whether or not your dog enjoys particular games, treats or snuggles. FIRST TIME CLIENTS: Please copy and paste the following questions into your request with your answers: 1. If your furry friend has environmental preferences such as quiet places and/or exhibits fears of other dogs, elevators, loud noises such as thunder or human strangers. If s/he has preferences for belly scratches instead of head scratches. What games you play with your pet? Your furry friend’s details matter to me. 2. If your furry friend is potty trained or needs special support with bathroom trips. Some dogs just hate peeing in the rain, and we have a small terrace that can provide shelter from raindrops. How many walks a day/night is s/he accustomed to? 3. Indicate it your furry friend can be left alone for either MORE or LESS than 3 hours. I try to be home as much as your doggie would like, but sometimes I need to leave your friend alone to run errands. If your friend can accompany me on errands around the city, I am open to his/her company. Please indicate if this is possible and how you and your friend normally navigate the city with visits to coffee shops, restaurants or grocery stores. 4. Routine diet, food, exercise and treat information, as well as lead and leash information is always helpful. Please write out a typical schedule for your dog. For example: 6:00am - 10 min Potty Break 7:00am - Breakfast 7:40am Walk 30min. 6:00pm Walk 30 min. 6:30pm Dinner 7:15pm Walk 20 min. 9:30pm 10min. Potty Break 5. Pertinent medical information. If your pet takes any form of medication or has medical issues, I ask that you provide me with copies of updated medical records from your vet to keep on file. 6. Does your pet have a sleep routine? Does your pet sleep with you? Does your pet like to lounge in bed upon waking? 7. We have a puppy in our home who is being trained to be a Service Dog. Please indicate if your dog is friendly to puppies and if your dog is vaccinated. Thank you!

Living in Fairmount offers a wide variety of choices for a wide variety of canine personalitites. Nearby outdoor options include strolling the peaceful Rodin Gardens or jogging along Kelly Drive. Engaging in outdoor activities is based upon your furry friend’s activity level and preferences. During extreme weather conditions, outdoor visits are limited to bathroom breaks. I enjoy playing games that incorporate learning and/or reinforcing positive behaviors. I am proactively cautious about your furry friend's engagement with all strangers during excursions outside the home. I am experienced in catering to sensitive to dogs with special needs, such as anxiety around loud noises, human traffic and/or busy visual environments. I can accommodate dogs who fare better with one-on-one company and attention throughout their stay. Please share as much information about your furry friend’s preferences as possible. Making your dog feel happy, safe and loved during his/her stay is my priority.
