I have had dogs all my life and I simply adore them! I have 2 very sweet and amiable dogs* that are loved so much, my ex and I actually share them. When I don't have them it would be great to pal around with another 4-legged buddy. I believe a happy dog is an active dog, both physically and mentally. I am NOT a dog trainer but I have bonded with many dogs in relatively short periods of time just by taking time to play and interact with them. I was a bit nervous when I had to transition my dogs from a house with a big backyard and doggy door to a modest ~800 sq ft apartment. But I truly think they are happier because we HAVE to take regular walks and keep a more regimented routine. That's not to say we don't have plenty of down time...but it feels well-earned. I LOVE a smiling, panting dog, don't you? I live in an extremely dog friendly apartment complex and I am right across from our dog park. I am very watchful at the dog park (!!!)...I tend to go only when I see other, well-behaved dogs hanging out. Any signs of potential misbehavior and we just leave and take a good, long leash-walk. There complex has approx 3 miles of trails and is very close to greenbelt trails and a great walking neighborhood. If your pup is more of a lounge around the house kinda pup, we do that too. I work from home 2 days/week but can come home at lunch when not working from home to check on fur guests, if needed. After work, we usually go on a good, long walk or hit the trails. I promise to take great care of your 4-legged family member just like they were my own! * I understand that mixed company can add stress when you're away from family so for this reason I will only take fur guests when I do not have my own with me. For the same reason, I prefer to host multiple guests only when they are from the same household. I will make exceptions for 2 single fur guests who are crate-trained.
