It can be very stressful to leave your loved pet at home while you are away on vacation or for work. I go through this same feeling every time I leave our four dogs at home. Knowing this feeling, I want you to know that I will do my best to make you feel at ease while you are gone. I will work with you so that you know that your loved family member is also having a fun time while you are away. My experiences with dogs ranges over 15 years. My experiences derive from my own dogs, working in a local shelter and being a foster parent. As a foster parent, I have worked with puppies 4 weeks old who are just weaned from their mother and learning how to eat on their own to my own dogs who are geriatric needing hourly care. Volunteering in a shelter I have come across dogs of all times of temperaments, energy levels, and sizes. My foster puppies, my dogs, and volunteering in a shelter have given me experience in administering medications for different medical conditions both oral and injection, monitoring behaviors and temperaments, modifying feeding needs, the importance of walks, creating a stimulating environment, and assisting in surgical recovery room procedures. As a stay-at-home dog mom and foster parent on any given day I managing medications for my four pups who all have medical needs that range from arthritis, liver and kidney issues, pancreatitis and gall bladder issues, allergies, and eye issues. Our foster puppies also require a medication regimen as well as feeding for weight gain, socializing, providing a stimulating environment, and monitoring daily vitals to ensure they are growing healthy until they are ready to go up for adoption. With my flexibility of being at home much of the day I am able to give your dog(s) visits every 4-6 hours and spend extra time with them during the visit to ensure they are comfortable and getting lots of love and attention while you are away.
