At 54, and as a small farm owner for over 35 years, I’ve had the opportunity to get to know many, many different animals. Dogs have been members of my family for as long as I can remember. Aside from dogs, I’ve owned horses, sheep, goats, chickens and rabbits. Through my kids, friends or immediate neighborhood I have had the chance to get to know a variety of other animals like ferrets, snakes, birds, iguana’s and g-pigs and spiders. I’ve enjoyed them all. I guess you’d say I’m an animal person. Now that I’m a smidgen older and my kids are gone I wanted to spend more time with them. I have three small dogs of my own but no other animals that I own although I’m boarding one horse here on my property. Most importantly, I understand what our animals mean to us. I would enjoy caring for yours as well. .
