MY JOB IS TO MAKE YOUR BABY HAPPY!
Pet care experience
I began working with animal rescues at the tender age of 8. Since then I have been an advocate for animal welfare and have incorporated my love for them into pet services: Grooming and boarding. Safety is PRIORITY. My space is clean and comfortable. Your beloved will not be confined to a small crate during his/her visit, unless requested. They will not be in contact with any other pets unless requested. I try to care for only one pet at a time. Before you bring your baby I will give you a check list of items you need or want to bring, to make sure you remember everything! It's always good to bring your baby's food (it's not good to change their diet, especially when they're visiting a new place!), a blanket or bed with familiar scents, toys, etc. When you bring your baby here I will do a thorough physical exam and you will answer a medical check list. It's important that I know about any existing medical conditions and what medications he/she might need to take. When you pick up, we will once again do a physical exam so that you will know they are in tip top shape! I have a large fenced in, secure yard so they would receive lots of supervised playtime and exercise. During the summer I provide three plastic pools filled with fresh water daily for the dogs who love water. I do NOT walk them outside of my yard. I feel the yard is adequate enough for exercise and that taking them outside of my house and yard would be a huge liability. I've heard of many injuries received at dog parks recently and do not want to risk injury to your family member. I also do not want to take any chances that they might escape. It would be an honor to care for your babies while you are away, and I would do everything in my power to make sure they have a safe and pleasurable time with me! My clients are not "customers", they are family. I also own Going Mutts Pet Parlor, on White Lane in Bakersfield. I've been a groomer since 1996, when I acquired a puppy at the pound and she needed a groom. I called around, and no one would allow me to stand with her while she was groomed. I knew she would attempt to bite, so I decided to groom her myself. I fell in love with the art and the rest is history. I can provide you with grooming services as well so that your baby comes home looking and smelling AMAZING! If you have any questions, feel free to contact me!
Reviews
Lisa wasn't available when I showed up at her house in Bakersfield to dog sit at the time we agreed on. So I had to just get a hotel that allowed dogs.
Non commutative. Was not able to see the house or backyard where the dogs stayed. Lola came back to us scared, thirsty and dirty. When we gave a time to pick up our dog the sitter did not respond and then said she would not be home. We had to wait for 2 hours to retrieve her. I would not recommend this sitter at all.
Lisa was a sweetheart, she was great!
Lisa was an AWESOME pet sitter! My dog is an old lady and high maintenance (special food and meds, blind, etc.) and Lisa handled it all in stride. She treated Bryson like she was her own with lots of love and care and updates and pictures. I was able to relax on my vacation and have fun, instead of worrying the whole time. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.
