Pet care experience
I've been taking care of pets for family and friends for about 14 years. My husband says that wherever we go, I zoom in on the pets before I even acknowledge the humans. I think dogs can sense this so they usually warm up to me quickly.

Lisa is a gem. If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Kind, thoughtful, great communicator -- connected instantly with our dog and really worked to put our minds at ease in leaving her in her care for a few days while we were visiting the area. Communicated well before our stay, and during our stay. I always love to know how our fur-baby is doing! Our dog came back to us the happiest and most well-adjusted I have ever seen after a stay with a sitter. Thank you, Lisa, for all of your great care. We are forever grateful to have met you!
I cannot say enough good things bout Lisa. My French Bulldog, Tater, is quite the handful, and this was my first time away from him for this long. So it was really important to me to find the right person. Lisa's space is warm & welcoming (just like her), and she truly loves spending time with the dogs she cares for. She and Tater had a GREAT time, and she took excellent care of him. 💕 Lisa made me feel so comfortable about leaving Tater, and I will absolutely be requesting her services again!
Lisa took care of our dog Molly while we were gone on an 7 day trip. It was the longest time we had ever been away from her since we have had her for 6 years. Lisa was great and sent pictures and updates. Molly was well taken care of.
Lisa couldn't have been more kind to my 14 1/2 year old schnoodle who takes awhile to warm up and who obviously loved her! I felt great leaving her with Lisa for day care while I visited a friend who has cats in Topanga Canyon. Lisa has a wonderful safe space and she sent me a photo during my pup's visit. My schnoodle seemed very comfortable and happy in her home.

I have a 12 x 12 foot completely enclosed area right outside my studio door. So I can be working at my desk with the door open and your dog can come in and out as they please. It's big enough to play catch. My place is set up best for a small dog or a smaller medium dog (under 30 lbs.). I watch one dog at a time, but i would watch two small dogs from the same household.

I'd like to know about your dogs sleeping, eating, and playing habits and how they enjoy interacting. My goal is to make your dog feel comfortable, safe and cared for.
A typical day
I have a nice neighborhood for walks and I'm close to trails if your dog enjoys longer hikes. If your dog isn't comfortable with other dogs, I can walk him on our 1.5 acre property. I have neighbors with dogs so if your pup gets along with other pups we can take walks together.

I have worked from home for about thirty years. So I will be keeping your dog company and your dog will be keeping me company. I write and illustrate books for children and dogs have been featured in several of my books! Since I work at my desk all day, taking several walks a day will be a welcome break for me and your doggie.
