Lisa and her son Caleb arrived at our scheduled time, ready to go. Silly me thought that taking a dog out for a walk was to simply just attach a leash and head out the door. So I was surprised when Lisa was asking so many questions while introducing herself and son to my dog. She is genuinely interested in knowing about my dog and my concerns about what I thought was a simple walk ...
Lisa is the best. She totally cares for our dogs and she’s teaching us tips for controlling our puppy. I’ve highly recommend her.
Lisa is amazing. She is warm, loving and very knowledgeable about dogs. Our dogs were well cared for and even more importantly, loved and had a great time. I will schedule Lisa again in a heartbeat. Highly recommended. Also her son, Caleb, loved playing with the dogs too.
Mother/Son (19 yr) Pet loving team
I’ve had many kinds, sizes and ages of dogs, throughout my life. Currently, we don't have a dog. Our hearts are still healing from the loss of our beloved Ginger who had a long, full life with us. Rover is giving us a chance to still love on pets, while our hearts heal. I’ve worked with professional trainers to learn to train them well and effectively. We have a nice 1 acre, wooded ...
What Lisa would like to know about your dog
We like to know their normal daily routines and favorite games. We try to make their stay/booking as similar to being with you as possible. What doesn't your pets like? Some don't like a belly rub, for example. Knowing this could save a lot of trial and error. :) It's also helpful to know what your pet knows already such as potty training, commands, etc. How are they on leash? How are they with cats, dogs, riding in the car? Do they like to swim?
We are pretty flexible on breeds. Some people are uncomfortable with breeds that have a "bad reputation". We used to have a Chow Chow and I was amazed at the bad rap they got even though our dog was wonderful. So, I don't judge a dog just by breed. I let them show me who they are. I also understand that given this tendency for people to prejudge based on breed, that we may need to take extra precautions above and beyond all our normal care and attention to ensure that all goes well and smoothly when we are out for walks, etc.
