Love, Fun and Exercise for Your Pet
Pet care experience
About me: My name is Lisa and petsitting is not a hobby to me; caring for animals is a job that I take very seriously with on-going training. I am licensed #699739 and I am a member of the professional pet sitting organization, Pet Sitters International. I am certified in pet CPR and First Aid through the Red Cross and Pet Sitters International. * I am very experienced with traumatized and anxious dogs, having dealt with trauma in my own rescue dogs and most of my clients’ dogs as well. * I’m also experienced and knowledgeable in diabetic cats (and dogs), understanding care for diabetic pets and administering insulin, oral medications and IVs. I believe ALL animals know when a human genuinely loves and cares for them and they therefore will connect with that person, as that has been my own experience with many animals. I am currently studying for my certification in professional petsitting and certification in caring for elderly and sick animals. In my childhood, I was lucky enough to grow up with dogs, cats, rabbits, fish, gerbils and birds! I have 30 years of experience caring for animals from cats, dogs, fish, gerbils and birds to ferrets, chickens, pigs and other farm animals. Throughout my career I have worked at a range of Silicon Valley tech companies as a Product Manager and received my MBA, but animals have always been my true passion. As a pet mom (and a mom to two humans), I want to reassure you that I will treat your pet like my own family. In addition to the wonderful pets I grew up with, I have raised four dogs and three cats from puppy and kittenhood to their golden years, through good health and illness (I have also raised two children now in college). Today I have two elderly special needs cats who are 20 and 14 (raised since kittens), and a pit bull/boxer mix adult dog who is 9, all raised since babies. I have extensive experience in puppy care, senior care, and special needs and administering medications orally, via shots and via IV injections. My goal is to give you true confidence that your pet is in experienced and trustworthy hands. And to give you peace of mind that your beloved furry family members will be cared for and watched over as you yourself care and watch over them. Caring for your pets is my privilege and honor. Keeping them safe, healthy and happy is my responsibility!
Reviews
Lisa is amazing! She bonded with Korra with their first meet up and will always give you details when she’s there, update you with pictures and make sure she tires them out before leaving. I highly recommend Lisa if anyone is looking for a sitter!
Lisa was awesome as usual today on her walk with bourbon.
Lisa is awesome! She is great with our dog Bourbon, who can be a handful! She is very knowledgeable about dogs and very patient. She is a great dog walker!
As usual, awesome job with walking Bourbon today. He is sleeping now.

Pet safety is my top priority and is one of the things I want when looking for a pet sitter. I will follow your instructions as directed and will ask questions if I need clarification instead of ''guessing" what you want. If I am staying over night, I will make sure your home is also safe. Most importantly I will make sure your pet “feels” safe and loved while you are gone. They will be treated as though they are my own!
Information lisa c. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your dog or cat has any special needs or behaviors that I can account for and accommodate. I like to meet dogs and cats (or any other pet) before our first outing or pet-sitting experience to ensure they and their owners are comfortable with me. All medications and times for medication administration are very important, as are detailed instructions.
A typical day
A typical day with me would entail a walk (tailored to the dog) preferably in different areas where the dogs will encounter new smells and playtime for cats. If dogs are super athletic, then a hike, fetch or frisbee (maybe even a little jog!). It depends on the pooch's needs and their human's desires for the dog. I also like to put dog food in food puzzles (with owner permission and if it's kibble) to give the pooches some additional mental stimulation. i am a big believer in mental stimulation as well as physical exercise. I have a doggie sprinkler if the dog likes water and running through sprinklers. Snuggles and lots of pets and kisses (as long as the dog / cat are ok with them). For kitties, I love playing with different cat toys that I have and am happy to bring. Stimulation and exercise for cats are very important for their health as well.

Availability
Now that my kids are college age, I can follow my heart and passion for animals. Pet care is now my full-time job, so I have plenty of time for the care, exercise, play, and attention your pets need. My schedule is pretty flexible 7 days a week with some exceptions for personal appointments or vacations with my own family and pets. I am available for house sitting, pet sitting, drop-in visits, walks and hikes, bathing, and as a pet uber to take your pet to their vet or grooming visits. I do not book multiple back to back appointments. Cramming as many appointments as possible does not allow a pet sitter to give the undivided attention and time pets actually need.
