Lisa has been living with animals almost all of her life and has enjoyed every fur-filled minute! Growing up Lisa was around dogs of all kind, from shelter mutts to English Bulldogs, she has pet and patted them all! Her formative years were spent alongside Irish Wolfhounds raised, bred and shown in AKC and Obedience trials by her mother. Lisa was surrounded by family who loved and valued each animal as an individual,given full status as part of the family and that is how she views pets to this day. ​As a pet mom with 3 dogs and 2 cats, Lisa knows first hand the joy, commitment, attention and work that goes into caring for a four-legged fluffy! Her professional pet care experience is as expansive as her love for creatures great and small. She had worked as a Pet Care Professional for Bull City Pet Sitting, (BCPS) in Durham, N.C. before relocating to her current home in Galveston, T.X. She honed her walking skills, time management and ability to handle just about every pet situation thrown at her under the guidance and mentoring of the founders of BCPS, Heather and Jen. Their strong training helped Lisa fine-tune her passion for animals by giving her the professional experience she needed to thrive. Lisa is also Red Cross CPR certified for dogs and cats, giving you an extra piece of mind while you leave your beloved pet in her care! In addition to her professional pet work, Lisa has been an active volunteer at local animal organizations for over a decade, the Animal Protection Society of Durham, in Durham, N.C. was where she learned the finer points of cat care, working as a cat care volunteer. She also spent time in the events and fundraising areas of the shelter, learning as much as she could about animals, their care, support and well-being. Currently, she is working as a volunteer for the Galveston Island Humane Society, in similar capacities.
