I've been taking care of animals since I was 10. I got my first family dog at that age, and she's still living, turns 13 Feb '23 (chihuapoo, 9lbs). My dog experience also extends to XL dogs, as I helped take care of a hospice case of a 6y/o mastiff with bone cancer up to the last 3 months of her life, including setting up her last day with the vet and carrying all 110lbs from the house to the car. I currently live with two cats (mine - 10y/o, partners - 8.5y/o). My cat came to me from KC Pet Project diabetic and overweight, and I've reversed his insulin production and brought him from 17lbs to 13lbs! I volunteer at KCPP once a week to help take care of the dogs in their kennels as well. I have experience with pets in need of medical care as well as your "average" kiddo, so I'm happy working wherever I may be needed!
