My family loves animals. We currently have two small dogs (chihuahua/poodle mix and dachshund mix) and two cats, and the kids are constantly trying to talk us into more. We don't have professional expertise, but love animals and have a lot of experience caring for our own. We love our animals so much that my husband jokes I am a Disney princess - because our furry family members follow me around the house whenever I'm home. My husband grew up on a farm so also has experience caring for dogs, cats, horses, and chickens. I work full time during the week, and my husband is a stay at home dad. We have two responsible kiddos that, in situations where it makes sense and you are comfortable, may help us care for and play with your pets. When booking with us please let us know if you have a concern about your pet being around children and we will ensure just the adults are caring for them. We have a 2 story home with a gate on the first floor, so the dogs stay on the first floor during the day and the cats have free roam upstairs. We have two filtered fountain water bowls so the animals always have plenty of fresh water. We have a dog door so animals can go into our gated back yard as desired, but we can put a cover on the dog door if that's a concern.
