After doing everything wrong in my youth with my first dog, I spent the following 20 years learning all I could about how to be a responsible, calm-assertive dog owner. Now, I have an extremely well-adjusted, gentle German Shepherd. Instead of taking in another dog full-time, I've been fostering through Tucson's Cause for Canines and I LOVE it! We give these pups a safe place to land and regroup. I train them up a bit, get them needed medical attention, then off they go! My elderly parents, who are also my neighbors asked me to stop fostering because they can't resist the drive to adopt and have drawn the line at three. My sister, a veterinarian, and brother also have dogs of varying size and age, so holidays are...a little stinky. There's always someone around at the house (and I have a doggy door). This is my work-around for the gap that discontinuing fostering left in our life. Hey, if I also get paid to be surrounded by well-loved dogs, all the better! We're looking forward to sharing a bit of time and love with your pups soon! I have a 4Runner, a fenced yard, and need to be with dogs! Please make sure your dogs are free from fleas and ticks and are on sort of prevention. My parents are gonna laugh/flip if this works out...
