Insured/Last-Minute Request Welcome
Pet care experience
Hi there! My name is Lindsey. I have been caring for dogs, cats, amphibians, birds, and even tarantulas for years. My experience started as a child, taking care of neighbors' houses and pets, and, over the years, I have gained a lot of experience with a wide variety of animals. In addition, I am fully insured (independently of Rover) as a Pet Sitter and am certified in Dog and Cat CPR and First Aid through Red Cross. Did your usual pet sitter cancel? I welcome last-minute requests! Instructions are very valuable to me. As someone with two cats with food sensitivities, I understand just how important it is to make sure your requests are followed to a tee. Behavior-wise, I am experienced with reactive pups. I have a reactive dog of my own, whom I have been working with for the past year and a half, and, pre-pandemic, I was a volunteer dog walker for LifeLine, which gave me a ton of experience with different types of reactivity. Meet and greets are required for reactive pups to ensure that it's a good fit. My goal is to set you and your pup up for success!! I am more than happy to follow your routine! Between my husband's and my own, I have access to multiple reliable vehicles, and I pride myself on punctuality. I love all animals, and I consider myself to be very patient and caring. My entire goal with joining Rover is to care for your pets in the way I would want someone to care for my own. I am of the philosophy that our pets are our children, and I know that having your trust to take care of your babies is a true honor. With me, you can expect long write-ups detailing each visit, lots of photos, and the assurance that I will go the extra mile to ensure that your pets are well cared for. If you’ve made it this far, I appreciate your consideration. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out. PS - I also have a green thumb when it comes to both indoor and outdoor plants!
Reviews
Lindsey was absolutely phenomenal with our kitties! I was anxious about being away for so long, but she helped to put me at ease because I knew they were in good hands. I cannot say enough good things about her, and my kitties seemed to warm up to her very quickly (which almost never happens)! My older cat has a disorder that is brought on by stress, and it turns out she was already extremely familiar with this disorder and knew the signs & symptoms to watch out for. She has truly been a blessing?? ?⬛
I have never felt so comfortable leaving my dogs with someone else before. Lindsey was AMAZING. Communication, friendlyness and trust 10/10. I hope she is free to hang with my girls every time I need to head out of town!
Lindsey is amazing! She came to visit and play with my kitty Franklin over the weekend while I was away, and took such good care of him! I received very detailed write-ups after each visit, and she even bought him a new toy! So, so sweet and I will definitely be rebooking!
I'm so sad that Sweet Pea was so shy. Lindsey did her absolute best trying to get her to come out of hiding but kitty just didn't want to have anything to do with a stranger. Lindsey was prompt and did what was asked. Hopefully we'll give it another try. Thank you Lindsey.

Again, I follow your instructions to a tee, so if you have and escape artist, please do let me know. When letting pets into a fenced-in yard, I will always accompany them to ensure that they do not slip out, unless, of course, you notify me that this is unnecessary. Due to the size of my home, I am unable to welcome new furry friends via boarding at this time, and, as a result, I specialize in care that takes place in your home. I have a dog who tries to “bolt” out the front door at every opportunity, so I am used to delicately managing transitions from inside of the house to outside of the house and vice-versa.
Information Lindsey S. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your animal requires administration of any medications. I have experience administering oral medication more so than other medications, but I am absolutely comfortable with learning, as necessary. It is imperative that you inform me of any behaviors that your animal exhibits that could be dangerous - ie, aggression (whether fear, food, resource, etc). Of course, I am happy to assess situations, but I do need to be informed of any behaviors that could cause me physical harm beforehand. As I said previously, I have two animals with food allergies, so please let me know ahead of time if your animal has any food sensitivities or any other special needs. It’s also helpful for you to let me know what things you’re working on with your animal. Are you teaching basic obedience? Are you teaching them to avoid begging at the table? Are you teaching them to be calm? The methods at which these items are being taught is helpful too. At minimum, I do not want to derail any of your teaching. And at best, I’d love to help encourage those lessons!
A typical day
The typical day depends on your instructions and your animals’ comfort level. I am fairly flexible, and I am more than happy to follow the routine you have in place for your pets.

Availability
I am currently working from home, so I am able to provide some flexibility, but generally, M-F, I am available anytime after 5PM and before 9AM. On the weekends, I’m able to provide much more flexibility.
