I have a fully fenced yard but never have the pups outside without us. I have one pup, about an 90lbs, 3year old German Shepard who loves other dogs. He loves to play with active pups but if the pup isn't interested, he will just go lay down instead. My roommate’s cat isn’t overly friendly but also isn’t usually around much. I try to keep the pup's routine as close to what they have at home as possible. So, if they sleep in your bed, they will sleep in my bed, if they prefer their own space I will set up their crate or bed for them. I always ask about food preference and feeding schedules so that we keep it as close as possible. I don't feed Lupin any human food at all so we will do the same for your pup if that's what you prefer. When I’m home, the pups have free rein of the house and can play and explore as much as they want. When i am away, they will either be shut in a room (separated from Lupin) to keep them more enclosed but so they still have space or they will be in their crate, whatever they're used to at home. I always put up all plants and other "tempting" items whenever a pup stays with me.
