We began working with Lindsey in April/May 2022. At first everything was great. When she came to meet our dogs initially, she brought homemade treats, which was a very kind gesture. She was punctual and calm with our dogs. We had a few drop in visits where Lindsey would stay at the house and we'd leave to go get dinner. Everything seemed to be good during the drop in visits. No issues with our dogs or home. In July, we went out of town for 3 nights and asked Lindsey to stay over at our home. Part of the reason we do drop in visits before an out of town vacation is so our quirky dogs get comfortable with the sitter (and the sitter with our dogs and routine). We discovered the morning we were coming home that there was a second person in our home we didn't know about. When I called Lindsey to ask her about it, her initial response was to deny the other person was there. Then the story I received was not factual or truthful. We spoke with multiple neighbors to confirm the additional person was there more than Lindsey told us. I am very disappointed in being lied to. I reached out to her after we got home with what we learned from the neighbors, along with another issue I wanted clarity on, and I have not received a reply (at this time, it has been about 4 days). There were some other issues, but I cannot confirm parts of them, so I will not add them to the review. Overall, I was happy and excited to finally find a local sitter we could rely on and trust. It lasted a couple of months and unfortunately, that trust has now been broken. I am disappointed I haven't heard back from Lindsey after the visit and subsequent message. We will not partner with her moving forward. I have used Rover since 2017, so this is not my first experience hiring someone to stay with our dogs. In those years, I have never had an experience like this one.
