Cant stop taking work home with me!

Pet care experience

Hello there! My name is Lindsey, and I've been immersed in the world of dogs for over a decade. With three years of professional experience under my belt and a decade of fostering and volunteering, I've turned my passion into a fulfilling career. My commitment to canine care is reflected in my continuous education, including certifications in infectious disease management and pet CPR/first aid. Transitioning from a large dog boarding facility to a focus on grooming has allowed me to refine my skills while honing in on what truly matters: the well-being of each furry friend. At our home, located in Ballard, your dog will find a cozy retreat filled with love and companionship. With a small two-bedroom house and a fully fenced yard, we cater to small to shmedium-sized dogs, and large couch potatoes are welcomed with open arms. I work full time. Dogs that are the best fit for home are used to having parents who work full time out of the home. My partner is home in the morning, I am home in the evenings. Your dogs may spend 5-7 hours without human supervision. However, they will never be alone, enjoying the company of our two dogs and two cats. We prioritize a harmonious environment where socialization and relaxation go hand in paw. Our routine revolves around enriching activities and outdoor adventures, ensuring that each guest receives ample exercise and stimulation. From leisurely strolls through the farmers market to invigorating walks around Green Lake. I love spending my days off doing dog friendly activities by default. We love walking around and exploring Seattle — the more dogs, the merrier! We rejoice when we discover dog friendly cafes. We also like getting out of the city and finding somewhere green to hike. On occasion we even treat our guests to a sniff spot adventure. I have experience administering oral meds, both pill and liquids, as well as insulin injections. I have also had to follow strict dietary restrictions. I like to see every experience as a learning experience — each pup helps me understand dogs a little bit better. I'm thrilled to reopen my Rover profile and welcome new furry friends into our home. Let's schedule a meet-and-greet and discuss how we can provide the perfect staycation for your beloved pet!

Lindsey did an amazing job boarding our young, highly energetic beagle. He had a lot of fun while there! She also checked in with our kitty at our house and made sure she was fed and happy. We definitely recommend Lindsey for your pet care.

Lindsey took great care of our boy. She was very communicative throughout the booking process and entire stay. She sent lots of updates including photos and videos. It was a great relief to know he was safe, sound, and comfy while we were away.

Lindsey was fantastic, caring, and thorough. Our pups came back so calm and centered. So much attention and care.

Lindsey has been such an incredible comfort for my high-anxiety pup! She is so patient with Tinka and gives her so much love every time she stays with her with daily updates (even sometimes multiple times a day since I'm a pretty needy pet owner) for me. Tinka loves Lindsey and will definitely be staying with her again once the pandemic is over and I can actually go places again!

Safety, trust & environment

Pets in my home are incorporated into the pack and treated as our own. We practice a balance approach to training and hanlding. I take the “Least Intrusive, Minimally Aversive”. As this motto would suggest, the aim of LIMA training is to use the least intrusive, minimally aversive option out of a range of strategies available to teach a dog the right way to behave. In other words, the focus is on training dogs as humanely as possible using positive methods instead of punishment.

Information Lindsey C. would like to know about your pet

I like to be upfront and transparent about how your dogs stay with us will look. I ask the same of my human clients. If your dog has some bad behaviors please share with me in advance. Every canine is their own unique little being and no dog is perfect. I want to keep their stay seemless and I like to know how to communicate with your dog. Do you have word commands or hand signals. What treats do they like best? Do they need to be run or are they more of a couch potatoe? Do they have any triggers when on walks? Do they show any signs of separation anxiety?

If your dog requires lots of enrichment it help if you supply some treats, peanut butter or any of their favorite goodies.
