Energizing walks, fun playtime

Pet care experience

Currently, I am pursuing my B.S. in Biology at Cornell University in Ithaca NY. My ongoing passion for animals, led me to 8 years in animal care. In addition, having worked in several kennels, provided me with exposure to many species, breeds, and temperaments.  Furthermore, my experiences over the years, have led me to progress to working as a Veterinarian Assistant in a daytime practice for 4 years, as well as a emergency clinic. Here I was responsible for taking care of senior patients, administering medication, giving injections, doing nail trims, educating clients, walking dogs, and working in the veterinary lab. I have worked in an equestrian center for 2 years as a stable hand. I have experience in being an assistant during veterinary surgery as well as an assistant for the SPCA’s spay and neuter clinic. I have also interned at a wildlife center where I was an animal care intern and responsible for taking care of hawks, owls, snakes, spiders, chinchillas, and guinea pigs.Throughout all my years in animal care, I’ve taken a particular interest in animal behavior. This interest has led me to pursue a career as a veterinarian. I absolutely adore my dog, Snooki. I would take care of your animal as if they were my own, and treat them like family. Whether it is pet sitting, dog walking, or boarding, I am here to help!

Lindsey has been taking care of animals since she was 15. She started working in a pet store in Corning. She also started working at a veterinary office when she was 15. She worked 2 different jobs while being in high school and getting very good grades. She has done dog sitting for several people and they loved her. Her next job with animals was at another veterinary office. She has continued to work at this office for several years. When she comes home on breaks she works there. While attending Cornell University she was a part of Merlin's Kids. She trained several different dogs to become therapy dogs and fostered them. Lindsey's love of animals has been evident all of her life. She always wanted to be a veterinarian. She is very knowledgeable about animals and their behavior. All of her knowledge and experience with animals will make her a strong and loving candidate for this position.

Lindsey started pet sitting for our 4 cats and 2 dogs in 2014. We have a special needs cat that requires medication and additional care due to his Manx Syndrome condition. She stayed in our home and provided exceptional care to all of our animals. She would check in daily to assure me that our little guy was happy and healthy and would send pictures of all the animals cuddling with her. We moved to TX in 2016 and have not been able to find anyone who remotely measures up to the care that Lindsey provided. We tried to talk her into moving with us, but for some reason, she decided to continue her education at Cornell University! I highly recommend Lindsey for any type of pet/house sitting anyone requires.
