Active Yet Restful Doggy Retreat
Pet care experience
I was raised with dogs and have been petsitting since I was in 9 years old. I am currently a stay-at-home, homeschooling mom to 3 kids- age 9, 7, and 5. Your dog will get ample quality time during the days while you are away. We have a large fenced yard (6ft chain linked fence) with lots of room to run and play. We also have our own 4 acre, enclosed walking trail for walks or off leash exploring. We are well stocked with balls for fetch and toys for indoor playtime.

Lindsey and her family took great care of our Boxer/Shepherd mix. She reviewed his profile and was aware of his allergies before I even thought to mention them. Lindsey sent us pictures and and messages at least once a day and it was great to see our dog relax and play with her dog. It was an excellent experience and we will definitely call Lindsey again in the future.
Lindsey and her family really went above and beyond to care for our dog, Moose, while we were traveling for Christmas. Her yard had a lot of space for Moose to run around with Lindsey's dogs, and Lindsey's kids clearly love dogs and know how to behave respectfully around them. Lindsey sent us daily updates with lots of great pictures. I was impressed with the attention to detail as well: when I picked Moose up, she had been brushed well, her dishes were thoroughly cleaned, and she had even received a Christmas present to unwrap. We are really grateful for the thoughtful care.
I feel like I really lucked out when I met Lindsey and her family. This was my first experience with Rover and I had many questions. Lindsey was able to answer all my questions and put my mind at ease. She was very prompt in responding to me from the first time I reached out to her, all the way through the day we picked up our dogs. She kept me up to date on the activities my dogs engaged in during their visit with her. She sent daily pictures/texts of my dogs having fun on walks and snuggled in their beds after a busy day. My dogs enjoyed playing with her dogs and her children. I couldn't have asked for a better experience with leaving my sweet boys in the care of someone else. Thank you Lindsey, we are looking forward to trusting you with our dogs again!

They will receive lots of outdoor time to burn off their energy and their choice of places to relax and sleep inside. We only accept one pet family at a time to allow for more quality time.

I require that all dogs that come to our house be kid and dog friendly. I require a meet and great ahead of time to make sure that we are a good fit for your dog. We cannot accept dogs that are destructive or have aggressive tendencies towards other dogs or kids. Prior to your stay I would like to know your dog’s experience around children, whether or not your dog needs to be kenneled if I need to leave briefly, and things that your dog enjoys.
A typical day
I enjoy spending time in our fully fenced backyard and going for walks on our enclosed trail. Depending on the dog, our trail can also be used for off leash walks and exploring. For inside time we have lots of places for dogs to relax and a bin full of toys for them to play.

We have lots of time for playtime. My children love playing with dogs so they will get lots of energy out. We also have a senior dog and can provide a more relaxed environment for older dogs. My kids understand that not all dogs want to play. We are home a majority of the time.
