Pet care experience
Hey! My name is Lindsay, a young 24 year old that loves pets, but in particular, dogs. I'm a volunteer firefighter, a licenced EMT, a nanny, and a Volunteer at Gateway Pet Guardians. Volunteering at a dog shelter has fed my addiction to love and nurture all dogs. I'm always learning new tips and tricks to help train and understand dogs even better. I've come to love every breed of dog at the shelter, no matter the stigma on them. Since joining Gateway pets I've learned quite a lot from the dogs and the experienced volunteers and I can't way to apply all the knowledge Im learning from them. Im learning how to calm a nippy dog to teaching a dog sing language! I love taking dogs out on adventures, especially parks! I'm excited to learn and grow with every dog I meet.

Lindsay was wonderful! She sent me multiple photos throughout the time that she was watching my cat and dog for me, she took my dog on plenty of walks and played with my cat and her favorite toy, and she even took notes when she came over to see how to take care of them. I came home to two happy animals, and I will definitely be contacting Lindsay when I'm traveling in the future! I highly recommend her!

I would love to know as much as possible about a dog before sitting him or her. Anything they like to do, don't like to do, what seems to make them scared, and what makes them relaxed. I love every breed no matter what shape or size.
A typical day
I typically like walking dogs either around their neighborhood, to the park, or just anywhere they can enjoy. Play time is important for any dog to relief their energy as well. I love playing fetch and tug of war. And if they just want to relax outside in the backyard, cuddling, enjoying a cold kong, I'm down for that too!
