Experienced Pet Sitter

Pet care experience

Thank you for visiting my profile! I love dogs! I am currently accepting non-aggressive dogs. If your dog is at all aggressive or has anxiety, please find another sitter. Missouri seems to have a lot more dogs with anxiety or aggression than any other place I have lived. As I want my home to be safe for everyone, aggressive dogs get put in a dog pin or a bedroom. Some of them have eaten my carpet, walls or doors. I don’t want to deal with that anymore, it is too expensive. So please no dogs with anxiety and no aggressive dogs. I leave two spots open every day so that I can take siblings if needed. Most of the time I wind up with two dogs from different households. If your dog loves to be with others, he is welcome! I have met several people in Missouri who want their dog to be the only one here, if that is you, please look elsewhere. I am currently doing foster care as well and am looking to get a puppy in the summer. There will be at least one more dog here when you come. I am an experienced dog walker and dog sitter. Currently, I am just dog-sitting in my home. I have had dogs my whole life and home sat more dogs than I can count. I love every dog! I also love how every dog has a very unique personality with quirks! I love getting to know so many different personalities! I have been with Rover for several years. I lived in Oregon for five years where I began offering services with Rover. I moved to Missouri at the beginning of the pandemic and have loved getting to know all of the Missouri pups! I am excited to get to know your furry child! Thank you for visiting my page. I work during the weekday while school is in session. I also work most Saturdays year-round. I am working fewer hours during the summer so I can help my daughter. Please be flexible for pickup and drop-off times. I have a chain-link fenced yard. It is 4.5 feet. It is perfect for dogs who do not know how to climb or jump. The only species that can fit through the gaps weigh less than five pounds (squirrels). As long as your dog can be safe in my yard, I would love to watch her! Once I had a corgi of my own who thought he was a cat. If you have one of those, please find another sitter. I have a dog door to my back porch that allows dogs to come and go as they please. Most dogs figure out the door. Sometimes they never figure it out, which is fine, there are humans around to let them out the big door. A very small handful of times, I have sat a dog who snaps after being here a few days and tries to attack another dog. If they do this, they are put either in a pin or in a room. They are annoyed by that, but it keeps all the other dogs safe. I work during the weekday while school is in session. I also work most Saturdays year-round. We are blessed we found lindsay as our river girl. Scooby is not the easiest dog and he just loves going over there. Her daughter is scoobys best friend they have so much fun with each other sometimes I think Scooby likes it at their house more than ours

We have left our Goldendoodle with Lindsay twice. Lindsay takes great care of Daisy and sends updates and pictures. I don’t have to worry about Daisy at all when she is with Lindsay. Highly highly recommend.

Information Lindsay G. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if your dog can be safe in my home. Please let me know of any allergies or special needs. Please let me know if your dog isn't okay with having treats. I enjoy rewarding the dogs on occasion, I wouldn't want to give a treat that might upset a stomach. The questions I will have before we can meet will be "can your dog jump or climb a 4.5 foot fence? Does your dog have anxiety? Has your dog ever been agressive with humans or other dogs?" Yes to any of these and I will not be able to sit your dog. Currenly the only breds on my naughty list are Jack Russel Terriers and Chihuahuas. Too many of those two kinds have caused severe problems. Other breds are hit and miss.

A typical day

Your dog will have free range of my house and backyard while staying with me! We have a dog door to allow all dogs to go outside whenever the feeling strikes. We are a family of three humans and currently one foster dog. Hopefully, your dog is okay with both gender grown-ups and a human kiddo. Also, I understand marking is normal. Occasional marking happens, but if your dog is not potty trained, please don't bring him. Please be honest with me. I had to send one dog home after two hours because her parents said she was potty trained. Not only was she not potty trained, but she attacked me when I tried to put her outside. I assume her parents had to cancel the vacation because they were just about to leave. On to the fun stuff! All of our neighbors have dogs and I have witnessed many neighborhood watch meetings, and occasional races. All the dogs appear to be friendly with each other. Please bring your leash, we love to go for walks! We have a very walker-friendly neighborhood and are close to the beautiful Spencer Creek Park. Our current foster dog does not understand how to go for walks, but we may try to sneak your dog out without him knowing. I like to give out treats when the dogs do something extra special, so please let me know if there are any allergies or if treats are not okay. Dogs are allowed on furniture, please let me know if this is not okay and I will do my best to stop your dog from disobeying their own home rules. We have communal water as most dogs insist on drinking out of the same bowl, but please bring your own dog food. I'd hate for a dog to get sick due to a switch in food. We also love to play and cuddle with the dogs. We have lots of dog toys here, but if there is something your dog just can't live without, please bring it. If your dog has never been away from you, please bring something that smells like you for security. Most dogs I have sat have been very happy to be in the pack, but sometimes a rare doggo needs alone time. We have several places where dogs can go if they need that space to decompose from all the fun. We also have a couple of baby gates and a dog pen if they are needed. We have stairs. If your dog has a hard time with them, I can carry her up and down if she will tolerate me helping. Thank you for reading, I look forward to getting to know you and your dog!
