A best friend for your best friend!

Pet care experience

Hi! I'm Lindsay, a dog-obsessed writer/blogger and newly-certified dog trainer who will give your pooch/es the love, attention, and exercise he/she deserves when you're not able to (along with reinforcing commands with plenty of rewards)! Pictures and videos of our fun-- along with open communication and updates-- are all part of my care package. Along with being a life-long dog owner (ranging from labs and sheepdogs to my current fur loves, an Australian Shepherd and a rescue Redbone Coonhound mix), I have also been a trusted dog sitter and walker for friends-- including weekly stays and overnights in their homes. In addition, many families I've nannied for have had dogs I've cared for along with their children. My time spent volunteering and walking dogs at kennels/shelters has given me a wealth of training tips and knowledge concerning a range of breeds and behaviors, and my intuition concerning how to approach and build bonds with individual dogs has been honed in large part due to these experiences. Dogs quite literally motivate me in all areas of life: my fiance and I work from home and are building a blog/business inspired by them, which we can't wait to make our main source of income and lifestyle (but, in all honesty, I'll still probably want to walk dogs!). I'd be thrilled to adventure with your pup around the block, to the park, or even in your backyard-- and I promise to be the best friend I possibly can be to yours.

Lindsay is one of the most passionate and organized dog lovers that I’ve ever met! She’s attentive, punctual, thorough, and cares for every dog she meets like they’re her own. She’s always goes the extra mile to keep tails wagging and dog parents just as happy!

Information Lindsay C. would like to know about your pet

I'd love to know a brief history of your dog's personality: what he/she likes and doesn't like, how he/she responds in certain situations (to other dogs, to other people, when faced with stress), what level of exercise would best meet his/her (and your) needs, and, of course, what treats work best for rewards! While I don't have breed preferences, I'd still love to know the background/history of your pooch, if for no other reason than to prepare myself for our meetings, walks, and playtime-- after all, no two pups are alike!

A typical day

I'll keep my ears open and listen carefully to your pup about what he/she is in the mood for that day: we can head to the dog park, take a short hike in the woods behind your house/in the area, go for a jog around your neighborhood, or even just play fetch in your backyard. I'd also love to reinforce some obedience and teach a trick or two (with an ample supply of cookies in my pocket). Of course, you know your dog best-- so whatever he or she should need when in my care, just let me know-- and I will strive to make it happen.
