Your pets new bestie! 💜🐾

Pet care experience

Lover of all animals, I’ve owned and cared for a cat, and two dogs; half cocker spaniel half chow-puppy to 12 years, as well as a lab age 10-14. And even more exciting now is my fiancé and I have just adopted a new pup! He is a 5-year old yellow lab named Toby❤️. We are thrilled to have our new addition to our family and can’t wait to have him meet your pup as well! I’ve worked as a kennel worker at a vet clinic for 3 years and have administered oral medication for small to medium dogs and cats. I’m experienced at trimming nails for cats as well. When caring for friends dogs, I love giving long walks, playing catch and spending time at the dog park. If you are comfortable, I do like to travel to various parks including Weston Bend State Park, and Parkville down by the river, and would love to take your pet there for some new smells and scenery:) I have a daughter, age 14 who also loves animals and would enjoy spending time during walks and activities if your pet is good around kids! I am on summer break so morning walks are my routine. Usually between 8 and 9. I love taking the pups on long walks around 2-2.5 miles in the morning and 1-1.5 miles at night. We have a fenced in back yard with lots of room to run and play! We also have a screened in patio so that’s nice as well to have the dogs sit and hangout with us there as well:) we have a split level house so not too many stairs if your dogs stay with us and is a bit older and/or may have trouble using them. We don’t mind pets on the couch either-we are snugglers! If we take your dog to the lake you can count on a bath that night! Followed by treats and a jog around the block to dry off!

Lindsay was great with our two dogs! She watched them for a week & stopped by our house three times a day. Very reliable & gave a lot of info with her check-ins.

I completely trust Lindsay with our 50lb mini golden doodle; Lots of play time and attention, treating her like one of the family. I’ve known Lindsay for 6years and she is a very honest, wonderful person with a big heart for animals. I know she is professional and accommodating for her clients; Definitely recommend!

Lindsay has watched my high energy German Shorthaired Pointer. She gives him plenty of exercise, play time, attention and snuggles. Always makes him feel right at home and part of her family. Would highly recommend!

Prior to booking Lindsay we had a meet and greet scheduled. The meet and great was rescheduled and she kept having, what seemed at the time, valid excuses to adjust the time. We still met with her and thought that she seemed more than understanding about our expectations and like a reasonably nice person. We booked Lindsay for house sitting from mid June 3rd until late afternoon June 6th. Knowing that we were either gone to work or out of town Lindsay stopped by between 12:00 PM and 10:30 PM on June 3rd for only approximately 1.5 hours to let them out and feed them. This was unsettling especially because we have a full fur pack, they had been locked up since 7:00 AM that morning, one of our dogs has known medical concerns for seizers, and I attempted to verify before leaving town that the expectation was clear. Lindsay originally said she understood but then when we questioned how the dogs have been locked up essentially 14+ hours she stated she thought she was only doing check ins throughout the day and staying the night for a few hours. This did not meet the expectations at all and the weekend was ruined by trying to find replacement emergency sitters and worrying about our pets to the point we just came home early. Not sure what happened between handoffs of the animals but did find one of our dogs seizer pills on the floor, accidents from the bigger animals due to not being let out enough, and one of our dogs has unknown irritation that went unnoticed too long on her neck. While rover made an attempt to fix the situation the solution that they proposed was to log into our account to seek another dog sitter that had never been to our home, know our animal needs, and potentially had higher rates that we would have to pay up to 75% difference. Ultimately this has made me question people's true intentions of using this app and believe now most are just trying to earn a quick buck instead of providing genuine care. I believe Lindsay is no longer either allowed or accepting house sitting job but honestly don't feel as though she should be allowed to continue services since our dogs ultimately suffered by not receiving the genuine care agreed upon. This trip was easy for us to return from but some pet owners may not be as lucky.

Information Lindsay B. would like to know about your pet

I will accept any breed, just know we haven’t owned any other than lab and cocker spaniel/chow mixes! Our friends dog that we sit for is half German Shepard half mastiff so that’s been pretty fun!

A typical day

I go to Weston frequently, as well as Parkville down by the river. Some other places we’d go are the parkville dog park, Loose Park, And Berkeley Riverfront. When the weather warms up I would love to take your dog (if they are water fans) to Smithville lake. We used to take our lab there and she absolutely loved playing catch on the beach area there and in the water.
