TLC Boarding & Walks

Pet care experience

Hey, I'm Lindsay. Dogs (and cats) have always had a special place in my life and heart, and now, I have space in my life to privately care for your furry best friend/s. You can rest assured that I would provide your dog/dogs/cat with the same Tender Loving Care I gave to mine. With your companion in my care, he/she would receive individualized care, as I will only board one household of dogs at a time. When I take a boarding and/or multi-day assignment, I will rearrange my calendar to have full availability. Your dog will get tons of attention, walking, and outdoor time as taking care of your dog would be my favorite and full-time weekend and/or summer job, and I would not be leaving your dog in my home alone. Your cherished friend will be treated as my own. Thank you for considering me to care for your best friend/s. * If your animal needs it, I am comfortable administering medicines through a syringe, but I am not trained, other than by experience. My history with dogs and cats: For as long as I can remember, animals have been a joyous part of my life. While growing up, one of my responsibilities was to help my family take care of our furry best friends. Once I was working as a young adult, I felt capable of rescuing, Ophelia, as a puppy; she was my best friend of almost 15 years. She was a local here from the SPCA. I say I rescued her, but, honestly, she rescued me. Over the course of her life, she taught me unconditional love and how to be a better mother and friend. I tended to her needs, from multi-walks and play and petting sessions per day, to regular checkups, grooming, and medical assistance. I've always loved animals, but I never knew the capacity of love would endlessly grow.

I’d highly recommend Lindsay as your dog sitter. She is a close friend of mine that I’ve known for more than two decades. Lindsay is compassionate, conscientious, kind, friendly and trustworthy person who has a big heart for animals. Over the years, I witnessed her care and love firsthand with her dog, Ophelia. When Ophelia was aging, Lindsay was very nurturing, patient, and loving to her. Ophelia was a gentle and loving dog as well, which speaks volumes of the way Lindsay treated her. Ophelia was one of the sweetest dogs! It was apparent the years of love they gave to one another. Lindsay’s love, care and concern for animals make her a great candidate for dog sitting or pet sitting services as she’d be great caring for anyone’s pet as her own.

It is without reservation that I recommend Lindsay as a pet-sitter. I’ve known Lindsay for more than 20 years. During that time, I’ve not only seen the care she’s provided to her own furry friends, but I’ve also witnessed her care of mine. She treats them as they were her own. Lindsay is playful, enjoys taking dogs on walks, carefully tends to their medical and dietary needs, and gives them lots of love and affection. I would recommend her caring for your furry companions as I know they are in trustworthy hands; you would be able to rest assured by knowing they are with such a loving, attentive, and reliable dog sitter. On a personal note, I was there when Lindsay adopted her own dogs. She was immediately attentive to their medical needs and worked diligently to get them healthy and happy. Over the years, watching the relationship that she developed with her dogs was inspiring. Lindsay completely emulates and takes the concept of pets being considered family to the next level. The connection that she had with her most recent dog, Ophelia, is one that is not comparable to others. They were truly each other’s best friends. Over the years, I have watched Lindsay interact with her own dogs, my dogs, friend’s dogs and even dogs that belong to strangers. I believe that dogs have the ability to see people’s character immediately. She has never met a dog that didn’t like her!

Information Lindsay B. would like to know about your pet

I love animals of all kinds and all different types of breeds. Bodie, in my mountain summit picture, is a rescued pit-boxer mix. However, unfortunately, my apartment building does not allow for any pit, doberman, or similar types of breeds, so I cannot board, but I am comfortable with walking and checking-in for various breeds and mixes. Questions about your dog/dogs/cat: * Does your dog get along with other dogs? * Can your dog be in and unleashed in a dog-park setting that allows for a variety of dogs to roam the fenced-area? *Does your dog like to "run away"- can be taken to the beach during unleashed hours? *Does your dog have any special needs and/or is on any medications? *How often does your dog need potty-breaks? *Does your dog enjoy walks and/or being in a dog-park/public areas? *Who's your veterinarian? *What's your emergency contact information?

A typical day

I'm quite active and enjoy playing, walking, and enjoying the outdoors. Where I live is not only dog-friendly, but there are multiple trails and parks on the grounds, it's steps away from both Isle of Palms and Sullivan's Island beaches, and I enjoy venturing out to James Island County Park and more.
