Looking to give all the scratches and love to pups whose parents need a weekend away! I've had dogs my whole life and love to have visitors. I've parented spunky terriers who love to bolt out the door, relaxed and loving lap dogs, and even a diabetic pup. Now, I have 2 dogs at home. One is a long hairs dachshund who minds his own business and the other is a 80lb, lovable, playful Ridgeback mix, who loves new friends. I typically like dogs more than people so, I'm looking to open my home to dogs that need some love on the weekends. Usually, with a couple days to plan, I can be home with them all day Saturday, Sunday, and take a half day at work on Friday if needed. Pups that are boarding or just staying the day will have full range of the house, unless you’d like not. We have plenty of beds, couches and chairs for naps. Our large backyard is not fenced currently. If I need to leave the house for an errand, and my husband is not home, my dogs have a crate in a separate room, while our house guest can have “the dog room” with loads of blankets to lay on and a superb street view! I'm very flexible when it comes to how strict or lax you are with your pup, and am willing to do anything I'm able to accommodate your fur child while you’re away. With the summer months, pups that have stayed with us before and are trustworthy off leash or on a tie out, are welcome to adventure to the lake cottage with us to enjoy some summer fun, swimming, and pontoon rides.
