Veteran dog owner over 45 yrs

Pet care experience

I am a professional dog handler, having raised border collies for many years with advanced knowledge in dog behavior as well as training techniques. I have enjoyed raising and working with many breeds of dogs for 45+ years. I am a Western Border Collie Rescue Foster volunteer for 10+ years and have also adopted all my Border Collies from WBCR. Your pet will be safe and receive the highest level of care when you book my services, which include basic training for your dog, leash training, tricks, behavior training and more! I absolutely love dogs and because of the current pandemic regarding the Corona virus, I am taking extra precautions to insure the safety and good health of your pet as well as my family. I will notify my Rover clients via the Rover app of my health before meeting with, walking, boarding, drop in visits, daycare and house sitting bookings. In addition, I will always wear a face mask and gloves upon entering a clients house for drop in visits and walking. At my home, I take cleanliness to a whole new level and have multiple HEPA air filters, sanitized dog bedding and toys, and a safe and clean environment to keep both your pet, as well as my family safe. Therefore, I am only caring for one to two dogs at a time and owners will need to varify that you are in good health as well as practice social distancing when dropping off your pet. My home is a safe haven with above and beyond cleanliness for both my family and your pet. My professional background includes working with the Nepal Army Rangers Elite division K-9 training unit in Kathmandu. I have been a Red Cross instructor and certified in Animal First Aid and CPR and a professional dog trainer for many years. In addition, my property is "pesticide free" and a clean and healthy environment. I grow an organic vegetable and herb garden on my 8000 sq ft fenced in property. Your dog will love running through the White Dutch clover and playing with the many tennis balls, and doggy toys at my house. I am a long time home owner and very responsible with caring for your home, plants, cages animals and fresh water aquariums while pet sitting your dog for short and long trips. If you are delayed on your trip, I will continue to provide the best care until you return. I put 100% into my work. You can travel in peace knowing your loving pet is receiving the highest level of individual and specialized care available on Rover! I have adopted rescue dogs throughout my life, from puppies to senior dogs with disabilities needing daily medical treatment including IVs, suture care, and feeding tubes. I am very comfortable caring for disabled pets with special needs and I am welcoming to all! I offer specialized homemade healing dog food for an additional fee and am happy to provide my recipe to you. I am physically fit and enjoy daily brisk walks, jogs and runs up to 8 miles a day along the Bear Creek path next to my house. I love a challenge to exercise energetic dogs and I also love caring for senior dogs who need just as much love and attention. My policy is to board a minimum number dogs at a time to give your pet the best quality service, attention, hugs and love. Quality over quantity - I will only board two to three dogs at a time, so my availability is often limited and I encourage you to contact me as soon as possible to confirm your booking and lock in your dates. Be sure to ask about my discount code for first time customers. I specialize in providing exceptional care, attention, and exercise your pet needs in my home, or yours, while sending you regular updates, reports, and photos during the entire sitting period. My goal is to provide your pet with a fun, safe, stress free and loving environment while providing you daily reports to help you relax while you travel. I look forward to providing your pet with the best and highest quality service and attention possible. My Rover clients are very happy with the "above and beyond" experience they recieve, so if you are looking for the highest quality, and one of the most experienced pet sitters on Rover, contact me now! I will reply back to you in a few minutes. I look forward to meeting you and caring for your pet!

Linda is amazing! Such a compassionate and caring person. You can tell she genuinely cares about our dog. Felan comes back tired and we’ll behaved! They’ve got a yard for the dogs to play as well. 10/10 recommend!

Information Linda W. would like to know about your pet

Let me know your dogs size, breed, temperament (high energy or senior who prefers long naps). Also, let me know if your dog has any special needs, behavioral issues such as pulling on the leash, barking, feeding agression, or issues with other dogs and children. I have a sweet, senior border collie who gets along with most dogs, and a 9 year old daughter who loves animals. I can provide positive reinforcement' training to help modify acceptable habits for some behaviors during your dogs stay.

A typical day

I am very fortunate to live walking distance from Bear Creek path along the green belt as well as a very nice dog park and several beautiful parks and can walk for miles in either direction along the beautiful, scenic creek surrounded by lush green grass, flowers and old growth trees. I love to exercise every day, I love to throw the ball, throw the frisbee, run through fields of flowers, along creeks and have you beloved dog by my side.
