Insured, Trusted, Experienced!

Pet care experience

- Minimum 7 night booking preferred (we do accommodate shorter sits that fit into our schedule, but we never accept day sits) Jeff, and I are non-smoking dog lovers (and past long-time homeowners ourselves) with 12 years experience in extended stay housesitting and petsitting. We began caring for vacationing homeowners' pets and homes, because it combines our love of animals and our delight in experiencing new locales. We do believe it significantly reduces your pets' stress when they are in their own home environment while you're away. Our goal is to learn as much as possible about your pets' unique likes, routines and behavior, so they can become comfortable with the new "guardians" before you leave. We understand your pets need love, companionship and as much consistency as possible -- we also take great care to maintain your home as if it were our own during your absence, as "placeholders" while you're away, we strive to maintain as light a "footprint" as possible. We've been caring for pets and homes during extended homeowner absences full time for almost ten years, for periods as long as seven months. Our relationships with our past homeowners and their pets is truly the most treasured benefit! Why I love dog sitting Our most extensive periods with dogs began when our neighbor brought home her 2 month old border collie. As she and her husband traveled often, we had the little collie with us extensively during her puppy and young adult years, and have a very special relationship with her and her family. Since beginning our house and pet care, we've had the opportunity to spend extended periods of time with any number of breeds, including Havanese, sheep dog, standard poodle, retrievers, Pomeranian, even a pit bull! My experience administering medication We have administered oral medication frequently (in food).

Linda & Jeff watched our 2 young pups (ages1 & 2) for 2 weeks while we traveled abroad. One was on medication & needed a cone for much of their stay. Linda & Jeff were both very professional, patient, kind & communicative. They sent daily updates/pics that I really appreciated & which gave me great peace of mind while gone. They also took care of plants, yard, fish & a pond. Everything was perfect & immaculate when we arrived home. Thank you Linda & Jeff for taking such good care of everything, especially the pups!

Linda and Jeff were fabulous. My guy is somewhat finicky, but they overcame that with him and got along really well. They are great communicators and great with all the details. I highly recommend them and will use them again.

Linda S. was wonderful. She was so talented and good with our dog who is active and needs a fair amount of attention. she kept the house clean. She also communicated well with us while we were gone sending pictures and updates. From long walks to play and cuddling, Linda is the perfect dog watcher and house sitter. Plus, she is a pleasant and giving person who listens to instructions. I would definitely hire her again.

If you are lucky enuogh to find an available week, that meets your schedue, grab it! It does not get any better than Linda & Jeff. Linda and Jeff are responsible, smart kind, caring, and altogether delightful to interact with. My 6 month old puppy had never been separated from me and was happy and content with them and they lavished their love on her. Twice a day Linda sent text messages about how Sadie was doing , with several photos. My friends at the dog park, which they took her to every day, had high praise for them. And, when I got home, my house was clean and neat. You could not ask for more. Just a hint....book way in advance if you want to find an open week

Safety, trust & environment

Because we only sit it the pet owner's home, the safety and environment is the same as the pet(s) are accustomed to. We are very good listeners and make sure we understand any cautions and risks in the pets' home environment.

Information Linda S. would like to know about your pet

We've found each breed has unique qualities to appreciate! What's most important to us is consistency -- where does the dog sleep? What is the dog's exercise and play routines? Is the dog allowed "good for them" people food? Are treats associated with learning games permitted or encouraged? We like to know as much as possible about the dog's comfort zone, to keep the transitions smooth!

A typical day

Time I'll spend with your dog We work from home! Additionally, as much as possible, we try to include our wards on excursions such as grocery shopping, (if it's the normal and customary routine, of course.) For us, they are family, if only for a short period! Extra house-sitting services As long-time homeowners ourselves, we believe one of the benefits of having someone stay at your home when you're gone for an extended period is the peace of mind of knowing someone will bring in the mail, keep the plants flourishing and maintain the home while you're away!
