Peace of mind with your ‘children’ in loving hands

Pet care experience

We love animals, and my 15 year old son would help me to care for our visiting furry friends, and they would almost certainly share his bed! We have a medium sized back garden for playing catch and other business, as well as a front garden. The focus should be on what the dog/cat likes - cuddles on the sofa or high energy fun in the park. Or both! And of course for peace of mind that they are loved and looked after while mommy and daddy are away. They should see us as their home away from home. I am also willing to look after pets for longer periods if needed (ie for longer holidays) with prior arrangement of course. Thank you

Linda was great with our Ray, always available even last minute, and very good with updates whilst we were away. Definitely recommended!

Rover and Linda saved my Christmas with my daughter and granddaughters with whom I had not shared Christmas since 2016. For the second year running I was unable to find kennels to take Sappho, my Jack Russell Cross - a very timid and nervous 7 year old. Linda settled Sappho into her home calmly and kindly and when I collected Sappho 5 days later she was happy and bouncy. Thank you Linda and Rover. Michael Mawle

I truly hate leaving bad reviews but sometimes it is necessary. I have been refunded for this booking but feel it is very important to leave a review also. I booked my two dogs Rudy and Ted with Linda for one day and night as I was getting married and had also arranged a chaperone (I'll refer to her as C) to pick them up, take them to the wedding, and drop them back after. We arranged timings with Linda and also discussed during a meet and greet with the dogs a few weeks beforehand. On the day of the wedding C called my mum very worried as she had arrived at Linda's and nobody was in, she told us she eventually had to let herself into the house to get the dogs. This obviously concerned us because that meant anyone could let themselves in had they so wanted to. After the wedding C dropped them back off and we were told there was still nobody in. The next day we arrived to the house to collect the boys at the time Linda had asked for the day before - yet again nobody was in. We also had to let ourselves into the house, and there was excrement and urine on the floor downstairs so they obviously hadn't been let out into Linda's garden (which Rudy loved during our meet up). Their belongings were dotted around the house and we couldn't find Rudy's lovely harness anywhere. My mum contacted Linda to say how unhappy she was and Linda apologized and explained that her daughter was looking after them until 12 and that they refused to go outside, and that her son was supposed to be around for hand over but was unfortunately held back from school. Although that doesn't explain why nobody was in for C the day before. I'm very disappointed as all the other reviews had me believe our dogs would be in very good hands, and that they'd be looked after when I was away, but that simply wasn't the case, and I would urge pet owners looking for board to consider looking elsewhere.
