Pet care experience
I absolutely LOVE small dogs. I had a Pomeranian, Dezi, for 12 years, who was a great companion for sure and miss him terribly. I debated about getting another dog, then my daughter-in-law, who lives in Indiana and is a dog sitter on Rover, suggested I join Rover.com to fill my need to cuddle and play with another dog, whos family may need a vacation perhaps and didn't want to put their dog in a kennel. It would be like going to grandmas house to be watched carefully .Our daughter always left her dogs with us when she and her husband traveled. When she came home, I would have him bathed and brushed out beautifully along with clipped nails, & a treat. She loved it, her dogs loved it, and I did also! 🐕

This was my first experience with Rover so I was naturally looking for a sitter with several good reviews. I almost overlooked Linda because of that. After reading her profile though I thought she would be perfect for my 12-year old Snoodle, Elly, because unlike most of the other sitters there were on other pets or children or jobs to have to consider. During our initial "meet & greet" Linda told me this was actually her first experience as a Rover sitter also (hense the reason for 0 reviews). Linda is WONDERFUL! I wish there were more room to elaborate. Linda sent me messages and pictures each day and I knew Elly was getting all the loving attention she could want. Any person could have take care of Elly's physical needs but I was more concerned with her emotional needs. Linda and her husband took care of Elly and loved her as if she were their own dog. I also enjoyed meeting them and visiting with them. They are great people! Linda even sent me home with homemade cookies (for me, not Elly)! I will definitely want them to take care of Elly again in the future!

i prefer small dogs, under 12# give or take a few, especially cuddley lap dogs. Due to allergies and asthma that my husband has, we need a dog that does not shed for example a Pomeranian , Poodle, Shih Tzu and I know there are other that are Hypo-allergic.
A typical day
We live on an acre, so have plenty on grass in our huge backyard for walking etc. We also have a patio and my dog loved it on nice days, to sit and listen to the birds in the yard area.
