Work From Home, Puppy Experience

Pet care experience

I work from home and have a very flexible schedule to accommodate drop-ins, daily walks, and in-home stays. I have previous experience as a professional pet sitter (with Walk, Stay, Play in Thousand Oaks) and love that my side job is playing with dogs and cats - what could be better?! I love dogs of all ages and sizes but specialize in caring for puppies and potty training. If you have a new puppy (or are planning to get one soon) and need potty training assistance, I'm more than happy to work out a visitation schedule to help make the transition as smooth as possible. I can also work on simple commands with your pet, like "sit", "stay" and "come". Every pet and care situation is unique, so don't hesitate to contact me about special circumstances and ask for a custom quote. As a dog owner myself (I have two Boston Terriers), I understand the anxiety that can come with finding a reliable and trustworthy walker/sitter that will care for your pet like you do. My goal is to make every visit as stress free and fun as possible for both you and your pet. Your loved ones will receive endless care and attention, and you'll get multiple updates with lots of pictures. Feel free to message me with any questions while your pet is in my care - or even if you just miss them and need a picture! If hired, you can rest assured that I will care for your pets as if they were my own.

This was my first time hiring Linda as a dog sitter for my dogs Nila and Pyro. She was awesome! The great thing about Linda is that she works from home so she's able to spend lots of quality time with your pet. She also was able to keep an eye out for packages that I had sent to my home while she was there. In addition, she kept an eye on my dogs eating and also even went out of her way to get baby aspirin for my pup who was dealing with arthritis of the time. I will definitely hire Linda again in the future and I appreciate her services very much!

Linda dog sat Nila and Pyro for me. She kept track of Pyro's medication on a daily basis and also kept an eye on my mail and packages for me. She was very communicative and send me lots of awesome pictures of my dogs while I was gone! I really appreciate her repeat services and would definitely recommend her to anyone!

Linda was absolutely a life saver with Nila and Pyro. My former dog sitter did not inform me that she would be home for 24 hours later than expected. When I found out, I asked Linda out of the blue and very last minute to stop by and let my dogs out to use the restroom and to feed and water them since they had been alone for 24 hours. (Don't worry, the dog sitter that did not communicate with me is not available for services on Rover. If she was there would be a very honest review for her.) When Linda arrived for this last-minute drop-in visit with my dogs, there were messes in the house from the dogs being left alone for so long. I informed Linda that it is the other dog sitter's responsibility to clean up upon her return, but she went out of her way to clean up the messes anyway. Thank you so much Linda for your help on this stressful day.

Information Linda N. would like to know about your pet

After you've made a service request, we'll message about the basic details of the walk/stay/visit. This is the perfect time to let me know of any special needs or accommodations your pet might need (ex: medications, anxiety, etc.). If everything sounds good, then we'll schedule an in-person meet-and-greet. During our meet-and-greet we'll talk all about your pet's daily routine and habits - everything from walking & pooping schedule to his/her favorite treats and activities. The best way to keep your pet happy and healthy while you're away is to provide the consistency and structure they're used to! We'll also discuss any special needs, behavioral issues, additional details of the visit/walk/stay and any other concerns you might have. This is also an opportunity for your pet to get acquainted with me and for me to get a feel for your pet's personality. If everything goes well at the meet-and-greet and we both agree it seems like a good fit, we'll confirm the booking on both ends. Then just sit back, relax and know that your pet is in good hands.

A typical day

While your pet is in my care, we'll stick to the same routine that they're used to. If that means your pet eats exactly at 7am every morning, we'll have breakfast at 7am every morning. If that means a daily trip to the park, we'll go to the park every day. Keeping a consistent routine while you're away will help your pet stay relaxed and stress free. And of course, lots of belly rubs and cuddles!
