Jerry and I are looking forward to walking, caring for and staying in home as needed for your furry family members while you are away! We are willing to cover a wide area from Gig Harbor to Bainbridge Island to Port Ludlow. We have had animals all our lives and love the energy and joy of the relationship. Now, we live aboard our boat and do not have pets, so, we would like to support you with yours. During medical school, I did quite a bit of pet sitting and found it very rewarding. I am open to long walks, specialty feeding and bringing comfort to your animals. I've even done IV hydration for a dehydrated kitty and made bone broth from scratch for an elderly dog. So if your loved one has special needs, I'm here for you! Staycare at your home would include my husband, Jerry and me. We are a mature, responsible, non-smoking couple. The safety of your animals and home is paramount to us. Jerry is retired and I work 3 days a week. There would be someone in your home no less than 21 hours a day (giving 3 hours for errands or a meal out). In addition to dogs and cats, I have cared for lizards, snakes, tarantulas as well as chickens, bunnies and guinea pigs. Given good instructions, I am willing to care for your animals even if it is new to me. Jerry grew up on a farm and can provide expertise where my experience is limited. Our goal is to meet or exceed your expectations! Due to COVID19, that includes cleaning all linens, bathrooms, surfaces used during our stay so that you return to a clean, safe, warm home. --------------- Addendum: The overnight rate does not show the discount for an extended stay of over 3 nights. Please book your pet care needs as soon as possible; think booking airline tickets. We hate to turn away a request, by booking 3 months or more ahead of time, you can feel confident that your needs can be met. Of course, there are busy times of year. If you know your Christmas/New Year's plans and require pet care, book now! We are already booked for Thanksgiving 2021. We do our best to continue the routine your pets are used to. Walks, feeding schedule, and lots of attention for each pet is standard. The more detailed the instructions from you, the better! We communicate with you daily; sometimes just with pictures but we welcome in the moment suggestions to make life easier for your fur family. We bring with us, everything we need for ourselves, food, beverages, toiletries. Just allow for a bit of space in your refrigerator and we will take care of the rest! For shorter stays, we bring our own bedding to keep clean up easier for ourselves.
