Reliable WashU grad student

Pet care experience

Hello, my name is Linda; I'm 30 years old and a MD/PhD student at Washington University in St Louis. However, my true passion is dogs! I have been dog sitting for about 15 years now and have been around dogs for much longer than that. I grew up with anywhere from 2-3 dogs in my house at one time, and I've been responsible for them at all ages and sizes. I have also dog sat for friends and relatives for longer periods of time over vacations and holidays. I have also volunteered with several rescue organizations and have experience dog walking and house sitting. My home consists of a 2-bedroom apartment with over 1400 sq feet for your dog to play in. I have a spare bedroom that your dog can have to himself to relax if he needs alone time; this room is equipped with a full size bed that your dog is welcome to jump on, and we also have a spare crate in this room that your dog can use. In the main living area, there is a couch and several dog beds where we can hang out and relax with your dog. I love dogs and have an abundance of dog toys to play with. There are no areas of my home that are restricted to dogs, even the beds! I live one block from Lucas Park and can go for frequent walks in the park. As a student my schedule is very flexible and I can let your dog out every 1-2 hours. It is very easy for me to get back to my house quickly during the day, or even work from home if necessary. I own one dog, an English Bulldog named Jackson. He is healthy, happy, and very friendly. He just loves playing with other dogs so if you leave a dog in my care, your pup will get to play and have a great time! I accept dogs of all breeds and ages but prefer not to board dogs smaller than 15 lbs in my home only because my dog Jackson is 50 lbs and I want both dogs to be comfortable playing with each other. I have volunteered with a rescue organization and have experience with dogs with behavioral issues or anxiety. I am also experienced giving medications if needed! As a dog owner, I know that scheduling a dog-sitter is an important decision. Schedule a meet & greet to check the place out and so I can answer any questions you might have. I will provide daily photos and updates. I can't wait to meet your pup!

Linda was great! She was very responsive, and even came to meet Poppy at the house a few days before we had booked our first walk. Linda was on time, answered texts quickly, and sent us pics from the walk. I highly recommend Linda!

Linda is awesome! She got back to me when I was in a pinch and was very courteous of my significant other sleeping from night shift.

Information Linda J. would like to know about your pet

I would like to know about any medical or health issues that your dog has, as well as any behavioral issues, such as things that scare them that I should avoid (ex, is your dog afraid of stairs, does he whine at night, etc).

A typical day

I live about a mile away from Lucas Park, so I'm more than happy to go for walks and runs with your dog. I'm a pretty active runner, so if your dog likes to go for long walks or runs, we can burn off some energy together. My favorite thing to do with my dog is to go for walks, and he likes to lounge on my lap while I watch TV.
