John and I have always had rescue dogs during our 23 years of marriage. We have had cats as well! Currently we have an 12yr old Golden, Sid, who looks after us and suggested that we join DogVacay if we were not going to get him a dog sibling. One cat, Lou, who is 16 and loves his brother Sid. We have no problem with the dogs on furniture. Cuddle time while we watch TV is a nightly prerequisite before bedtime.

We are very happy to have our pup spend time with Linda C. Lindas' dog Sid was such a good play/pack leader. We felt comfortable leaving our pup with them after the meet and greet. My Black Lab, Cody spent the weekend at Linda C.'s and had a great vacation with Sid.I was relaxed and at ease knowing Cody was being so well cared for while we were away...I loved getting pictures of Cody during his stay - of him and his friend Sid :) I definitely would recommend and book Linda for another stay!
Annie has truly found new friends in Linda, her husband, and their loving dog Sid. They opened up their home to her, and even gave in to her non-stop need to play fetch and swim. She can't wait to get together with them again soon for a playdate or maybe another vacay. I couldn't recommend them enough!
I am lucky enough to work with Linda and my husband Jay and I have been able to rely on Linda when we have gone out of town to watch our beloved Huskie Ash several weeks over the past four years. Ash is an energetic boy who needs a lot of love and attention, and every time we have come home, Ash was sad to see Linda go! She sent us updates and photos when we were away to show how well Ash was doing, how much fun he was having playing and all of the love that he was receiving. Travel is fun and exciting, but I have always felt apprehension about leaving my fur baby – but that is no longer the case because Linda has entered our lives! Linda is a fantastic pet sitter – hire her!

We live in a large loft and have a huge backyard to walk and play with the dogs! Parks nearby and if they like to boat we can take for rides during the summer down the Clinton River.

I would like to know if they have issues with other animals or are too playful for our old golden retriever. We have 2 grand kids, 7 and 12 so would want to know in advance if they are OK around kids.
A typical day
As mentioned daily walks in neighborhood and local parks, boat rides on the Clinton River. Cuddles on the couch and home cooked treats like chicken breast if allowed.

Separation anxiety is not an issue for the animals as both John and I work out of our home. Being seniors we also are home at night most evenings and home early if we go out to dine!
