Linda was terrific. She is reliable and pleasant to work with. We have two cats, one of which requires medication. Linda handled that for us happily and effectively. She sent regular updates to us on our trip ... which we loved, making us feel both confident that our cats were doing well ... and entertained by her photos and commentary. She arrived at our home each day predictably. She is extremely competent as a pet sitter. We ...

Linda took special care of our pup on our recent trip and he came home happy as a clam. We can't ask anything more from a boarding experience.

Linda has made all the difference in our lives when it comes to caring for our 4 yr. old Cockapoo, Jade. Jade had just gotten over a long illness, but with Linda's calm care, gorgeous yard and playmates; it was just what Jade needed. She happily goes to her home. NOW we can go on trips with no worries.
As a Rover Sitter myself, I have high standards. Linda met and surpassed those standards. A ...

Thanks, Cathy, for your kind words. Jade is the loveliest dog, a wonderful house guest, and we loved having her!

Smaller breed, senior/special needs

Your smaller dog will love staying on my completely fenced, suburban farm where he or she will have plenty of secure space to romp outside and lounge on the sunny deck or relax on a comfy sofa in my air-conditioned home. I am home all day, so your dog will have undivided attention. Your senior dog will enjoy doddering about the farm, sniffing and exploring, greeting the chickens and goats at the fence and sleeping ...

What Linda would like to know about your dog

I generally require a meet-and-greet before I accept a boarding request to ensure that my home is a good fit for your pup. I assess how your dog gets on with my senior dog Zig, my two cats, and how your dog reacts to the farm animals who are kept separate in the pasture. We discuss feeding, sleeping, and other routines that will make your dog feel comfortable here. I can walk and visit any size dog; however, because my rescue Pomeranian insists on being the alpha, I can only provide boarding care in my home for dogs that are small and submissive. They must also be rock-solidly housebroken with no marking behaviors. Otherwise, my little fur guy will frantically mark all over my house! I also require that your dog be up-to-date on vaccinations and on a flea-prevention program because I live in a rural area and want to ensure your dog does not go home with fleas or ticks! I teach music part-time at home, so am home all day and can give your pet lots of time and attention. We will also go out on walks and play in my large and secure fenced back yard.

When Linda watches your pet

House guests will have all-day access to the securely fenced, large backyard, for romping, exploring, admiring the chickens and goats, or quietly lounging on the deck. We can also walk the near-by forested trails. The dogs (and my two cats) enjoy curling up on the couch or at my feet as I play the piano. Your dog is welcome to sleep on the furniture and beds if that's what's allowed at home. Lots of cuddles are included with every stay!

If I walk your dog, I will go at your dog's pace: brisk or leisurely. When making visits to your home, I can also water plants, bring in mail, clean the litter box, feed your pets, and and basically do whatever you need while you're away.
