Pet care experience

Retired!. Love, love, love dogs and cats! PLEASE SCROLL DOWN TO MY STATEMENT ABOUT MY CAT’S SAFETY. I Have had pets all my life and they are my family. My dog Chester is a rescue who loves EVERYBODY and EVERY DOG! He will be thrilled with playmates! I can accept one large dog or two small to medium dogs to stay at my home. This kind of depends on the dog. I have had 2 large dogs from same family with no problem at all. Visits in your home are no problem for any size dogs. If a larger dog is pretty relaxed on leash I love to dog walk, otherwise I might need to limit to medium size for walks due to one troublesome knee. Since I limit myself to owning only one dog, I will love the chance to meet and care for all your fur babies! I have been a foster mom many times with English Springer Rescue Association and have transported for them as well. Your pets will get plenty of love and hugs and kisses here! I now have in adopted an older kitty. Your dog must be PROVEN NON AGGRESSIVE TOWARDS CATS, And preferably will Have lived well with cats. Unfortunately if a dog has never lived with a cat they may likely not be a good fit for us here. We can still Meet to observe reactions. I’m sorry to say I have had to increase my fees a bit due to all the obvious circumstances.

Linda took great care of our dogs in her home. I would recommend her to anyone that wants peace of mind your dogs are well cared for when you are away!

Linda was absolutely fabulous with our pups!! I felt at ease from the moment we met her, she truly has a genuine heart for animals. She took extra time and implemented strategies for easing our shy dog into her home at first (which you would have never known he’d had an issue with in the beginning, he was so happy and at ease when we picked him up). She kept us up to date with pictures and how they were doing throughout our trip. We truly could not have had a better care giver. ❤️

5 stars. Linda was a great find on the Rover app for our dog ,Scout. Communication was good and Scout seemed to have an easy time adjusting and settling in at Linda’s house with the other pets. She sent us pics and updated us on the day’s activities and Linda is obviously an animal lover. . Photos of Scout relaxing on Linda’s lap convinced us because that is Scout’s favorite place to be- on a human’s lap.

Linda took great care of our two Brittany dogs. Gracie is very old, hard of hearing and doesn't see well. But Linda helped her with steps and even lifted her up on a window seat so she could look out the window. I appreciated that Linda kept Gracie safe away from any steep stairways. There were a couple of other dogs there also one day. They seemed to all get along. Our other dog is younger and active, and did fine. I was glad Linda used gates for our dogs when she was gone so Gracie did not have to be in a crate, which scares her. Linda seems to really enjoy taking care of the dogs.

I care for your dogs like my own. Their safety and comfort is my priority. They will not be crated unless you request it or the dog demonstrates destructive behavior and/or poor house training . Also if there is any unexpected aggression toward my cat the dog will be crated inside or on my screened porch for everyone’s safety.

Information Linda C. would like to know about your pet

No breed preferences - I pretty much adore them all. The initial meeting will be very important for your dog and mine if you will be visiting at my home. Chester is a work in progress, but he's a sweet heart. I hope you will let me know your dogs preferences and any special needs and, of course, anything we need to avoid. We will surely spend time doing what they enjoy. I limit myself to having one dog but I'm excited to meet and enjoy your babies! My only concern for when your dog stays with me is that you would agree for your dog might need to be kenneled while I'm away but I can also confine to a specific area if kennels are not agreeable. Some love em, some hate em! I can not accommodate dogs that are not fully house trained or have destructive tendencies. I do have one medium and one medium- large kennel. If you have a second or very large breed dog a kennel would need to be provided for the stay if your dog likes to be in his/her kennel.

A typical day

I walk my dog daily in the park across from my home. There is a lot of activity over there! My dog Chester loves to play, and might wear your kids out! We fetch and play with pull toys inside and out. I will be vigilant of appropriate toy and bone sharing! In your home I'm happy to entertain and provide plenty of hugs and belly rubs! I'm happy to provide some grooming as well. We do that almost daily here but, unfortunately, the shedding continues! It would be great if your dog is bathed and well brushed/deshedded before coming to my home for care. Just let me know all your kids favorite activities. I love being outside so as the weather is nice we will be spending lots of time out there where it is very secure.
