Pet care experience
As a child, I had 3 family dogs! As an adult, I was privileged to be the fur mama to my sweet golden for 9 years that we recently had to put down and we miss so much. I have lots of experience with puppies and crate training, which is a cute but definitely tiring experience that teaches patience! With my golden, it was my highlight to take her on long walks, hikes, and lots of excursions to the beach and mountain. It makes me so joyful to see animals in their happiest moments! It can be different for all of them, from low to high energy things but I am a natural caretaker and also an elementary school teacher, so I understand that each dog is different. I will try my best to find what are their interests and what makes them comfortable. I’m an active person but also can be a relaxed nurturer if that’s what your dog needs. With you not being home, I will really try my utmost to try to fill that empty space for your pup.

Lily and her partner Jeff were absolutely PERFECT hosts. Lily, an elementary school teacher, sent constant updates in the AM and PM, with a ton of photos, and she kept my dog very active. As an aside, normally my dog is extremely excited to come home but this time she clearly misses her temporary caregivers. Which is a GREAT sign. Lily is, for sure, going to be my first choice next time I need a host.
Lily is GREAT, she provided daily updates and did everything she could to make our dog Pipa comfortable and comfy at her place. She is by far the best pet sitter I've used in Rover.
Lily was lovely as always - so grateful we found her on Rover!
Lily was great! She sent me photos and updates of my dog everyday we were away! Would definitely book again in the future :)

We have a 2 bedroom apartment on the second floor of a small duplex. We used to live with our golden pup so everything is dog safe, meaning child locks on cabinets and all edible items out of reach. We don’t usually let dogs go on our furniture but if they’re used to that, we could allow it, as I also have dog paw cleaning materials. Out back, we have a partially fenced yard away from the street side. The best part of our location is we are two blocks away from Lake Merritt, which I loved taking my dog out to numerous times daily! My partner and I had our best life when we had our golden doggy and we both just have a big heart for animals. We also have been in the same boat of making sure we have a good dog sitter when we went on vacation, so we would definitely ensure that with your dog! Communication is key and I am very good at checking my phone and sending vids/ pics of ur dog, as that’s what I needed to know my dog was comfortable!

Please give me time schedules of feeding/pee/poo/walking and I’ll be glad to stick to it! Also if your dog gets along with people/other dogs and if you would like me to keep your pet around the neighborhood or drive to the beach/hikes.
A typical day
I love snuggling with dogs, and also training them with treats to do tricks, I can also play ball quite well as we used to have a golden retriever who loved to play ball for hours on end! I love bringing dogs on walks to the park, or drive them to Alameda Beach or Reindhart Redwoods for nature walks!

Availability
My usual routine: I like to do a 30-45 minute walk in the morning before I go to work. Then ur dog would be home alone from 8:30am-4:00pm, until I get back. So must be ok being alone for long periods and definitely potty-trained. Then, when I come back home, I like going for long walks, if your dog likes too! I can stay home with the dog Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
