I have had dogs in my life since I was 7. I have always loved animals; when I was little, I wanted to become a vet. I even had a birthday at Fairfax County Animal Shelter and had all the gifts be food or toys for the animals, I didn’t want anything. I have worked in an animal clinic as a Veterinary Technician Assistant taking care cats and dogs, from emergent to boarding to regular checkups. I have house sat for many friends. One family has a Victory garden that houses anything and everything (and is beautiful) and they have 2-5 cats at a time. I have also house sat for a family that had two Chihuahuas where I had to stay in the house for a week because the dogs couldn’t be left alone, or they would bark.

Lily was AMAZING! This was our first experience using rover and we were really unsure what to expect. Her communication was quick and super responsive, she answered all our questions and put all our concerns to rest. She was so kind and even left us a personal message on her way out which we really appreciated. She is definitely someone I would trust with my pet anytime and would continue to hire her any time. Lily was so prompt, communicative, and flexible! Upon our introductory meeting (Lily's suggestion - such a good idea!), my dog who is ALWAYS shy instantly ran right up to her and started licking and sniffing! I couldn't believe it! My pups were in great spirits when we arrived back home and seemed like they'd enjoyed their time with Lily. Lily did followed my (many... sorry about that!) instructions and left the house spotless. I would certainly recommend Lily to anyone looking for a dog sitter and I will definitely reach out to her when we are in need in the future!

Pets are like furry children. And like children, maintaining routines is important. While caring for your pets, I like to keep to as close to their normal routine as I can. I also know that I am not you, but I can play with them and interact with them as you desire. Play time or park time is one of my favorite time with my two dogs!
Information Lily M. would like to know about your pet
I like to get to know the pet from your point of view. Does you pet have a favorite toy? Do they need their special blankie in a thunder storm? Those special things can help me get to know your pet like you do. I have mostly worked and lived with medium and large breeds, but I welcome all sizes of furry paws and claws.
A typical day
Walks and play time are the best! If your pet has a favorite route, I'm all for that. I do like to take my girls into wooded parks for a change of pace and smell, and can do that for your pet too. There are also some great dog parks in the area if your pet is down for some four legged fun (and potentially a short car ride). I am a pro at tug-of-war and catch, and both my girls are pros at keep away, so I am also well versed in backyard games.

Availability
Right now, I am available all the time. Covid has made getting a steady job difficult. So for the foreseeable future, dog walking and house sitting will be my full time job. I am taking one online class with the Community college, which is great for maintaining a flexible schedule.
