Animal lover, trainer, flexible!
Pet care experience
There has never been a time when animals were not in my life. I grew up with multiple dogs and cats in our household. I began pet-sitting at a young age (with help from my mom, of course). The first time I dog-sat, I fell in love and cried when they picked up their Golden Retriever puppy. I worked at a one of the top Veterinary Hospitals in Lafayette, LA, for 3 years, as a Customer Care Representative. I previously volunteered with the Louisiana SPCA for their Canine Life and Social Skills classes and as an assistant trainer to their Reactive Rover classes. Therefore, I'm especially great with reactive dogs and only use positive reinforcement and force free methods when training. I'm the artist/owner at Painted Paws Studio, a custom pet portrait business. This allows me to work from home and for my schedule to be flexible. Let your pet be my muse while I paint! Last but certainly not least, my son is my dog. Bauer is a 6 year old mutt I adopted from the Memphis pound. If your pet stays with me, unless specified, Bauer will gladly take a vacation on his own to his "Auntie" and best canine friend's home next door. Bonus - I love cuddling!
Reviews
Wish I lived closer to Lillian because she is great with my dog Otis! He just melts when he is around her, and he loves playing with her dog Bauer. She has a heart for bully breeds, and Otis is my favorite bully!! He really responds to her gentle style with him. Highly recommended!
Lillian was the foster mom for our dog Emily when we adopted her and every time we've needed her to watch Em, she's been fantastic. Her prices are reasonable, Emily has a great time with her dog Bauer and always comes back home happy as ever. If you're looking for a trustworthy, responsible dog sitter who'll care for your pup like their own, Lillian is an easy choice.
Lillian is an animal lover and all around great person. I've witnessed her treat her own dog, Bauer, like a king. Even within her artwork, she's worked as Painted Paws, creating beautiful master piece portraits of many a good boy.
Lillian has been dog sitting my sweet baby girl, Tulip, for 3 years now. Tulip is very selective with who she likes or even gets close to (she had a ruff life before we met), so I was very hesitant to let anyone watch her. Which is I was incredibly pleased when Tulip met Lillian! Lillian knew not to rush anything and the exact behavior to have when meeting a shy and fearful dog. Lillian sent me the cutest pics of Tulip and let me know how she was doing when I was away. Lillian even taught Tulip how to shake! Now, when I say "do you want to see your Lillian?" to Tulip, she perks up and starts getting excited. We are ever so thankful that she's there to take care of my sweet Tulip!

Information Lillian A. would like to know about your pet
I'd love to know about their personality, energy level, routine, and any training (cues/commands) they may have. If they have any particular quirks that I should watch for, where/how they like to sleep/eat/bathroom, and what their favorite game/toy is, please also let me know!
A typical day
If your dog stays with me, we'll drink morning coffee (okay, I'll drink, they'll sniff the air) on the back porch before we take an adventure to Crescent City Park. If your dog prefers short walks, we'll just meander through the neighborhood and catch up with our friendly neighbors at Bywater Music, Bratz Y'all, Frady's, and Markey Park. If your dog prefers his/her walks solo, it will just be them and me! I love trick training, so your dog may just learn some tricks (shake, roll over, moonwalk). If they're not into that, an old fashioned game of fetch may be in order. Perhaps they just want some good belly-rubs and booty scratches... if so, I got em covered!
