Work from home - Have love to spare

Pet care experience

I grew up with an 'outside' dog, but now that I'm all grown up I really wanted an 'inside' dog of my own. The only problem? My apartment didn't allow pets! So, I found ways to get time with these wonderful creatures -- I started volunteering with dogs, driving dogs that are getting adopted or need to change shelters, I found this site, and, eventually, I moved! That is how this all started and now, after several years caring for pets, a little cross-country move chaos, and the whole Covid thing, I'm here to help you love and care for your pets in Oregon! This adventure has also, at last, led to a dog of my very own. (I feel so lucky to be saying that!)

The hounds seemed to enjoy being there. They were walked regularly. Lilly slept downstairs as the older dog wouldn't go upstairs.

Lilli did great with our headstrong and energetic rescue hound. She sent us frequent updates and pictures throughout his whole stay. It was apparent that Rusty was having a great time and we could enjoy our vacation without having to worry too much about him. She even taught him some new manners that he brought home with him!! Thanks again, Lilli!!

Lilli did a great job with our two Boxers. She sent plenty of pictures and updates and took them on daily walks! Great communication and she made herself available when we needed to drop off and pick up! We will definitely use her again in the future.

As mentioned, I have a very friendly and social puppy (under 40 lbs), who would love to come on any walks, play dates, or other adventures he can with your dogs. He gets along well with anyone, though can be too enthusiastic for some dogs at first. He typically calms down pretty quickly and can hang out with anyone if they can forgive his initial hyperactivity! While I'm limiting the client dogs that will be at my house due to allergens, I do have a fenced backyard with redundant gates. Should your doggy come over here for a play date, for example, it is super secure! It hardly matters though, as I don't leave the dogs out there unsupervised.

Information Lilli C. would like to know about your pet

My main rules for working with your dog are: *I love them all and I will do everything I can to be able to accommodate them, so please disclose any 'issues' they might have, even if you're worried I might turn you down. I've seen a lot -- chances are I can handle it if you let me mentally, and otherwise, prepare! *Safety. If your dog is not known to be friendly with other dogs, we will need to discuss this. I can take limited walks of this kind, but my primary interest is for a fun, social experience that can include my dog too! Your dog should be properly cared for in terms of flea/tick protection and vaccinations. Similarly, my main concern is that they are safe for my dog, and I'll return the favor with the condition/health of my dog. Let's keep everyone safe and healthy! *I pretty much always do a meet & greet before taking a client. It is less important for dog walking vs sitting, but it is a great way to get a sense of who I am and if you are comfortable with me. I don't have a lot of things to put on my list here because I'll ask about you, your dog, and your routine in person!

A typical day

Dogs that stay with me will enjoy *lots* of companionship since I do most of my work from home. Bonus points for doggies that like to lay on feet or under the desk! <3 Most days we take 2+ walks around the neighborhood in a day, with potty breaks in between as needed. If I have the day off, we often go to the park or work in the garden. If your dog is very high energy that alone is probably not enough exercise for them, though Fib is happy to help with that! I'm also not opposed to practicing some positive reinforcement training with your dog as I'm working with Fib anyway!

I am a compassionate and patient someone who would love to help you care for your pets when you can't. I have cared for all kinds and dispositions of dogs and loved them all! However, at this time, my dog Fib and I are most interested in helping you care for your dog-friendly furballs. I bet you can guess why! We can do walks, play dates, drop-ins, and house-sitting. Because of family allergies, I'm not doing pet sitting out of my home right now. Instead, I am offering house-sitting. If the particulars of the situation work for everyone involved, Fib and I will come over to provide care, comfort, and companionship for your animals while you are travelling. While I won't generally be there all day, I do work remotely, so I have some flexibility as long as there is reliable internet access.
