Pet care experience
I'm a professional woman mostly working from my home in a quiet, green, landscaped area. Most days I'm home all day, though I might have a meeting or two, and 2-3 times a week I head into the office for the day. I've a small backyard (unfenced) and green spaces to walk in right outside my door. My dogs and I both enjoy a nice stroll through the neighborhood twice a day--and they love other dogs, and cats (I don't have a cat but sometimes foster them). My dogs are small (~14 lb and ~10lb) rescues, one about 12 years old and one about 6 years old who generally get along with everyone. I have two separate guestrooms to provide secluded downtime if some quiet time is needed, but otherwise we'd just all hang together. I generally only let my dogs on the bed and in the bedroom with me, as a reinforcement of my pack and their status, but otherwise your dog or cat is ok on the furniture. Please also let me know if you want photos of your pet during a stay, or not. I know Rover prioritizes this, but I'm on the fence sometimes when I go away--sometimes seeing a photo just makes me miss my little guys too much!
Reviews
Rocco had the best time with Lida and her 2 little pups. Quick with communications and meet n greet. This was a 4 night stay and Lida sent lots of pics and put me at ease right away. Would definitely leave Rocco there again. Highly recommend!
Lida is a caring pet sitter and was amazing with her communication and pictures. It was my first time leaving Bella with Lida and her very cute and friendly smaller dogs. I will definitely reach out to Lida again and highly recommend for dogs that aren’t super active.

In my house they're ok on furniture and general run of the place. The only item, as noted elsewhere, is not in my bed as that's when I give my dogs a break from whoever is staying with us. If you've a cat or an animal that would prefer to be separate, I do have a guest room they can stay in by themselves. If you can bring a blanket or other piece of clothing with you when they stay, I can set up a spot with that on one of my couches so your scent can keep them company overnight.

I don't discriminate by breed--all are great. We do best with lower energy dogs though--I'm not a runner, and at 12, my little dog is spry but not up for runs or rough play. The other guy, Oliver, though 6 is lazy as heck so high energy dogs will likely be bored with us. I give my dog Nadim insulin injections (subcutaneous) twice a day, so I'm experienced with that--but not intravenous. I've also given pills with pill pockets or similar to make it easier. I don't know anything else--but if you can teach me, it might work.
A typical day
We can take a number of strolls through the green areas in and around my neighborhood, and trips to the Shirlington or Fairlington dog parks could be an option for longer stays if your dog is good with a short car ride (they're very close--but my dog's short legs can't get that far without being pooped before we get there!).

My dogs are my world! Most of the time these days I have discretion over my schedule, so even when I need to go in I can arrange to be home within 8 hours of leaving, or less.
