Friendly, reliable and experienced service

Pet care experience

Looking for friendly and reliable pet care? I provide a fun and attentive service, to make sure that your pet feels cosy and at home. During your pet’s stay, I will send you regular photo updates and let you know how your fur babies are doing. I’ve always had a soft spot for animals. Growing up, I looked after many small pets including cats, guinea pigs, hamsters, mice, fish, and even a few African land snails! As soon as I left school, I enrolled in an animal care course, where I developed lots of practical hands-on experience with small furry animals and exotics. Around this time, I also worked as a kennel worker in Glinton. I gained experience with a wide range of dogs, including dogs with difficult behavioural issues. I loved getting to know each dog and building a trusting relationship, to help them feel relaxed and confident during their stay. The most rewarding part of the job was helping timid dogs to come out of their shell, and see their unique personalities! If you're looking for a trustworthy and experienced dog walker, or need a reliable pet sitter, feel free to drop me a message. Relevant Experience 1 year as a kennel worker at Belham Wood Kennels, Glinton Work experience at Vets4Pets and doggy daycare centre Qualifications Higher National Certificate (Level 4) Animal Management Level 3 Extended Diploma in Animal Management For new clients, please provide information about your pet’s daily routine, likes/dislikes, any behavioural quirks/issues, how well they get along with other dogs, and any other relevant information/instructions. Please note, I am unable to accept any bookings outside of Peterborough, as I do not currently drive.

Libby looked after our cat Poppy and dog Ziggy for 3 days just after Christmas. She followed our routine and looked after them really well. I wouldn’t hesitate to ask her to look after them again. Thank you Libby.

Libby is a very trustworthy and capable sitter. She looked after our two greyhounds at our home while we were travelling for three weeks. There were two medical issues (entirely not her fault) and she dealt with them fantastically, so we know we can trust her completely with the doggos. The house was also very well looked after and her communication is great. It’s good to have peace of mind with a good sitter like this. Thumbs up all round.

For house sits, I ensure that all new clients meet with me in their homes and complete a questionnaire before I confirm bookings. The information on the questionnaire ensures that I have a full understanding of each dog's routines, behaviour, health status, and any signs to look out for. During the day, I look after pets according to the owner's instructions, and the dog's daily routine.

Information Libby P. would like to know about your pet

I ask all new clients to fill out a client intake form before boarding or walking. This includes information about emergency contacts and veterinary instructions, health status and medications, eat/sleep/play routines, behaviour and training info, and behaviour around other dogs/people.

A typical day

During a typical day of house-sitting, I will feed the dogs, and take them for a walk 30 minutes afterwards. This gives their stomachs time to settle and avoids the risk of gastric torsion. Afterwards, I will give the dogs time to settle, and play with them throughout the day in the garden when they're in the mood! I will either take them for a few short walks or a couple of long walks (depending on their health and personal preference).
