Certified Dog Trainer

Pet care experience

About Libby: I am fluent in Dog-to-English, both to hear their wants, needs and fears, and to assure them they are safe and well-cared for. Not only will your dog have tons of fun, but will learn new skills too! I am a certified professional dog trainer (CPDT-KA & CCPDT-KA), and member of the Association for Professional Dog Trainers. I have extensive experience working with difficult dog behaviors, such as jumping, fear, aggression (dog and human), separation anxiety and more. I am extremely comfortable with large & XL dogs. I can administer oral or injected medications, provide post-surgical and wound care, and administer basic pet first aid. Training is all day, every day, and includes structured training, free play, crate training, potty training, exercise and mental stimulation.

Libby exceeded all expectations! I feel so lucky to have found such a kind, compassionate and skilled person to take care of our pup and home. We appreciated the frequent updates, dedication to spending time improving our dogs behavior/training and how nicely our home was left. Thanks so much Libby!

Libby was absolutely AMAZING with Peach! She went out of her way to help us in a pinch. We have never left our dog alone with anyone. Peach instantly was completely comfortable with Libby. We felt so good about leaving Peach in Libby’s care. She is extremely knowledgeable about dogs and very helpful. I can’t speak highly enough about Libby! Thank you!❤️

Libby was so great with our pup! She is truly a dog whisperer. Our pup being 4 months old can be timid at times especially with new people but he loved her within minutes! We did the option for boarding/training and are so happy we did it. His listening skills have improved significantly in many different aspects. Can actually "lie down" now when he was way too distracted to do that before! He also has improved so much on our daily walks - less distracted, listens better. We were gone for 5 days and when we returned he was really excited to see us but could easily tell he was very comfortable and happy with his stay. It was also super thoughtful of her team to send us pictures/videos of our little guy while we were gone. Libby and her team really know what they are doing and I would trust to leave them with my pup ANY time! 10/10 recommend.

Information Libby M. would like to know about your pet

What specific training goals do you have? We can work on anything from leash pulling and reactivity, to socialization, to obedience skills. I require a meet and greet with you and your dog. That way, we can observe your dog and discuss their training needs in-depth. It is also helpful for your dog can get familiar with the smells and sounds. At the meet and greet, I want to know the truth (the whole truth!) about your dog's awesome AND naughty behaviors. We can handle almost anything if we know what to prepare for! Tell us how they behave on walks, dog parks, off leash, etc. How much exercise do they normally get? Have they been crate-trained? Do they have any regular or "as needed" medications? Allergies? Double check that your pup is spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccines, including bordetella (kennel cough), heartworm preventative and flea/tick medication. Be sure the Care Instructions and Emergency Contact are current on your Rover account.
