I love dogs and dogs love me!

Pet care experience

The main reason that I became a dog sitter is just because I genuinely love and care for dogs! They’re always there for us, and they have such a giving spirit about them. That spirit has always inspired me to do what I can for them, and to give back however possible. I love bringing as much puppy happiness into the world as possible, so being a sitter really is a dream come true for me! I just believe that dogs deserve the world, so I want to give it to them! I grew up with dogs all throughout my life, so I’m very comfortable in the caregiver position. Back home, I have 3 dogs: a Shih-Tzu, a Pomeranian, and a Boston Terrier. They are all different age groups so I know exactly all the characteristics and needs each age group has. I’m happy to work with pups of all stripes and enjoy simply doing what I can for dogs! I am also experienced with special-needs dogs as for my Pomeranian is deaf and has epilepsy, so taking on pups with special needs is not a problem for me at all. When taking on a new client, I typically like to schedule a meet-and-greet. It’s a great way to make sure that we’re all a good fit for one another, which is so important to me. Likewise, it gives us the opportunity to chat face-to-face about your pup and your care expectations. No one knows your dog better than you do, so it’s always great to chat with owners in person about what makes their pup tick! Finally, I just love meeting new dogs! I like to get down on their level to show them that I’m a welcome presence here to make friends, and I’m sure we’ll be best buddies in no time at all. When your pups is under my care, their health and happiness is my number one priority. Simply put, my rule of sitting is that I’ll only do what’s best for you and your pup. I always like to get a very clear picture of what your pup’s needs are, so that I can always keep them in mind when they’re with me. Additionally, I’ll always send lots of regular updates when they’re under my care, and am happy to keep you in the loop on anything from meal prep to exercise times. Whatever you need to let you know that your pup is in good hands! Likewise, I love sending lots of great pics as well, so you can see just how much fun we’re having together!

Libby was great with our dog, Cleo. She accepted the last minute request quickly and was able to do a meet & greet that same day, which was a huge help! Libby was communicative during the stay and our dog was happy and relaxed when we got home.

Libby is such a wonderful person. She is very friendly and outgoing which makes working with her very easy. I can tell she is a hard-worker and loves what she does. You can tell from the start that your dog will be in good hands because she is so kind and caring. She just radiates her love and affection for others especially for animals. I would definitely recommend her to ANYONE who loves their dog as much as Libby loves hers. Your dog will be in such good hands with her.

Information Libby B. would like to know about your pet

Some things I like to learn ahead of time: - Would you like to schedule a meet-and-greet before the stay? - What’s your preferred method of communication? - Does your pup have any health issues that need to be tended to? For instance, dietary restrictions, medicine, or behavior triggers? - Do you have a vet nearby that you trust? - Is your dog spayed/neutered? - Does your pup like to stick to a given schedule, like regular walks in the morning and evening? - What does your pup do well around? What does your pup try to avoid? - What’s the best way to spoil your pup?

A typical day

My home is very cozy, and is perfect for any dog who loves to snuggle. It also has a big window great for window watching and sun-basking. My home is spacious for playing with toys and running around. My neighborhood is very dog-friendly, as I live right next to Grant Park and other dog-friendly parks that are perfect for long walks! Our first order of business would be to head to any of the great parks or trails around me! I prefer Grant Park or anywhere near Indiana Avenue, because I know the routes well and it is very scenic which makes the walks much more enjoyable. I also like any quiet neighborhoods because then there would be less distractions for the dog.
